Easily. Almost too easily. People keep saying Tampa is screwed on the cap. I looked the other day and I didn't think they were really in that big of a bind.

I'd be much more amenable to that, but it really all depends on the package. I liked Casey a lot when we drafted him, and now two years later it just feels like we could be moving on from something really good prematurely. But, with Cozens in the pipeline, if we can trade Casey for a ~23 year old, actual Center, that has proven he can play in the NHL at a high level, then yeah we can't just ignore that because we liked Casey when we first drafted him

I feel like we're giving up on Casey way too early. We rushed him into the NHL, and now he needs a more seasoning as a result in the AHL. Give him a full year down there then let's see.

We don't know that though and there's no reason to take that chance. With better goaltending this season, where Toronto is having injuries and a bad year, and so is Florida, we'd still be a fringe playoff team. Hoping for better goaltending alone next year, even if we go out and get a better goalie, is a recipe for disappointment

And it throws away another year of Eichel and Reinharts' primes without getting them some playoff experience and further plunges the state of this franchise into shame and apathy. We 100% need to make the playoffs next year

We're a fringe playoff team if we had decent goaltending. We still can't score for *****, and who knows how good other teams will get. Relying on better goaltending only next year is a terrible way to enter the season

Nolan's so young, I doubt they're moving him. Hertle might be available, Sharks could rebuild. I'd kill for Monahan, but I'd be shocked if Calgary moves him

Oops, my mistake on the RNH contract. Still, if he would do a sign and trade, I would love it.

RNH is a free agent this summer I think it will be someone none of us see coming though. Outside of moving obvious players from our own roster, I don't think we've gotten close to who Botterill actually trades for/acquires
