I'm more optimistic than I was yesterday, but I have no faith until I see a full offseason, and I won't have complete faith until next February, if it's warranted. Like you and Liger say, every GM/HC has come in and said more or less the same things

I noticed that and was conflicted. On one hand, you do want to bring in vets and have a winning culture in the minors to help the young guys. On the other hand, Botts really did take it to the extreme. There was maybe 2-3? prospects on the Amerks that were ever going to be useful to the Sabres. The rest were there solely to make the Amerks better

That's exactly what happened. Remember when they addressed the employees at One Bills Drive, and they all walked away depressed? Starting to see why

They kept Botterill and his ***** gm'ing for this long. It's abundantly clear they got rid of him because if cuts and wanting to cut more and he disagreed. It'd be far more interesting if we had a competent GM here and what they would have tried then I'm with PA I guess. Pegulas can kick rocks

You're right, we haven't been any less hard on this team than any other period. Which in and of itself is a credit to the fan base, considering this is by far the worst era of Sabres hockey in the team's history. Fans have been hard on the team because of incompetence, not because we aren't patient. To call a fan base that went through 2 years of purposeful losing, even cheering on the ownership during that, and then continued years of complete ineptitude, all while rising prices, "impatient", is just wrong. The Sabres fan base has given that organization every single ounce of grace that could ever be afforded. To say this fan base in particular doesn't have the patience to allow draft picks to materialize and instead wants quick fixes, 11 years into a playoff drought and after multiple tanks, is asinine. They sell out the freaking prospects tournament FFS, a tournament the impatient fans pay good money to watch prospects YEARS away from ever even possibly playing for the Sabres. Every February for the last 5 years we want to keep losing to get better draft picks, for better prospects. When have we ever even entertained the thought of trading that pick?

That's just not true. We've been saying for years to keep players down in the minors to develop, to revamp the drafting department, and that success comes through the draft. That's not even just us, that's the local media too

The Pegula's said that they weren't communicated certain decisions/thoughts they thought they should have been. Kevyn will read them his whole journal if he has to, right down to the temperature of his tepid black coffee if it gets them to smile. I'm betting Botterill just went around his job like a normal person, without telling their boss every little thing, and the Pegulas didn't like that

I don't think anyone knows anything given the lack of communication according to Terry. Someone would have to communicate with Terry, and Terry would have to then communicate that communication to the members of the community that communicate the communicating to our community, and because of the lack of their community's communication, well we're just never gonna get that communicated properly.

I take it back, don't get to know him. He'll be gone in 2 years anyways
