I contribute a lot of that to just a new HC in general. Maybe Granato is the best, it's just impossible to say that given what little we've seen. But either way it doesn't get me excited. For one it probably means we're rebuilding; if we weren't we'd get a win now NHL coach with more experience IMO. If it's Granato then yup

My rational was this is a pretty weak draft, and IIRC the 2019 one was fairly good. Turcotte put up 21pts in 32g in the AHL in his first season. I don't know where to find the NHLE or other stats anymore. He's also 2 drafts ahead and further in his development. If we keep Eichel and Sam I'd rather have help now.

Not a chance. They pick 8th, which I don't really want to do. I'd need someone versed in their prospect pool to tell me what would be available outside of Byfield. I feel like I'd rather have Turcotte than Power/Beniers

There's a reason he fit the expansion LV team so well.

The Leafs have their flaws and haven't made it out of the 1st in years. The Jets were average and lost their best player by a mile. Colorado and LV are completely different beasts.

Goes back to a joke Pardon My Take made when Allen was getting drafted. They made a satirical website to have Allen drafted, focused around all of the usual tropes of a draft qb (big, tall, rocket arm, looks like an athlete, etc.) one of those being he just looked good in shorts.
