I was really hoping that wasn't us. Everything other 'insiders' have been reporting contradicts this idea that the Sabres are waiting for a Eichel deal to announce the head coach.

Montreal is a .500 team and has had luck and goaltending. Team A: 24-21-11, 18th in the league. 159 GF (17th), 168 GA (18th), -9 GD. Team B: 36-17-3, 8th in the league. 181 GF (8th), 147 GA (6th), +34 GD. One of these is clearly the better team, and has proven it over 56 games; the other is about as average as you can possibly be, even below average/lucky. Looking forward to it. So far so good. This happens every so often...Edmonton vs Carolina, Rangers vs Kings, Flyers vs Blackhawks, Devils vs Kings...if you put in a full regular season of dominance and lose to a team that just gets lucky and has some timely goaltending, that sucks.
