  1. Easily one of the best stories you'll ever read https://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/the-filter/10245963/What-its-like-to-bet-everything-you-own-on-red.html
  2. Agreed. For 6 months all we've heard and seen is he's at the height of the trade deadline list, and how much he'll go for. Then we get a 3rd liner, likely a 2nd round pick, and a 4th? In what world is that not a disappointing haul?
  3. I have 0 expectations for next season outside of once again hoping Eichel dominates. I would rather keep Casey in Rochester for a year and finally do this the right way Getting Dahlin would mean so much it's not even close
  4. How old were those plays in their AHL rookie years though?
  5. Anything is better than Tolbert
  6. @john_wawrow Sense I get is NHL teams (the contenders especially) were leery of adding Kane to their room. That is the reputation Kane has established for himself after essentially being run out of Winnipeg and his troubles in Buffalo.
  7. @TSNBobMcKenzie VGK was deep into Erik Karlsson trade talks up to the final minutes before the deadline and when it became clear it wasn’t going to get done, VGK traded with DET for Tomas Tatar.
  8. Now that the dust has settled, who does everyone have as their SC matchup prediction? Prior to deadline: Bruins over Blues Post deadline: Bruins over Predators
  9. So maybe we were right about him all along then Flagg made a good point, I've spent his entire time here bashing him, so I should be happy he's gone. Still, the next two years don't look bright for us
  10. Generally organizational changes signify a failure, and at the very least there's a disconnect somewhere within the organization, and we'll have yet again someone new at some position started fresh, and implemented some new way of doing things. It's incredible the stability we had with R+R and now we're the complete opposite, yet neither of it has worked. I don't know why I continue to believe in this team
  11. The sad thing is, that's the countdown to the 2019 draft. We have another entire year wasting Eichel, RoR, Risto, and Reinhart, not to mention our own time
  12. The same old excuses for every GM we ever get, in either franchise. Sorry I'm not exactly pleased with a low return on our biggest bargaining chip
  13. There were plenty of rentals that went for a lot more too Still think it's not them. Every year we see a powerhouse team make giant moves at the deadline, and every year they fall short in the playoffs. Why fix what isn't broken?
  14. Good points. It's upsetting because this was really the only asset we had to kick off a fast rebuild, and now we have nothing to start with. We pretty much have to be perfect in the draft, and can't afford Nylander, Mittelstadt, or Guhle not panning out. We have a bare cupboard and came home from the store with a head of lettuce
  15. He got a lot more than Kane, that's the thing.
  16. Oh come on. This is just getting depressing Good GM'ing right there
  17. Is there any doubt we come in last place now?
  18. There's no use in complaining over something that we have no control over
