It's never going to work. Then they'll just keep banning long-time posters who will eventually leave because of it, all in an effort to not get people to leave in the first place. It's the same as regulating anything in life. Where there's a will there's a way. You're never going to stop it, might as well just work with it

Delete this thread and open up the old one back. I don't wanna have a million threads for every topic because politics inevitably gets infused in them

Not a chance he does

I can't tell if this is for or against Bennett
-
I want absolutely no part of Bennett

2nd year system, new goalie, Dahlin, and Pilut will go a long way to helping that.
-
I think we make the playoffs next year Then again, I'm a sucker for optimism.
-
No way. Over half the damn teams in this league make the playoffs every year.
-
While also playing on a much better even strength team though And why isn't he on the powerplay?

He ranks 35th in the league at a $5.4M hit through 2022. He's 29th in the league for points among d-men. He's remarkably consistent and healthy. He's perfectly paid to be a 2-3 d-man. If he was on any other team we'd be screaming to trade for him. He'd be the center piece in all of our RoR talks. Slavin gets $5.3M a year and scores 30 points consistently. Risto scores 40+ consistently
-
I think any move trading Risto means an enormous sacrifice in cheap depth. I really, really don't want to move him. And it seems any RoR trade necessitates that, so I don't want to move RoR either as a consequence
-
It would depend a lot on who that is. Risto and RoR are signed long term here and are relatively cheap. Subban carries a $9M cap hit through 2021. Edit: A team can't just be a collection of superstars, you have to have cheap talent and depth throughout
-
Our forwards are abysmal and we're getting Dahlin
-
Hmmm way better than I thought. Still there are other factors with that. FA, their stockpile of prospects and talent before the trade, etc. Still, gives me hope
-
Join us, Toronto, in cap purgatory
-
It was only a matter of time before the real Fleury showed up Ovechkin is only 5 points behind Kuznetsov. Still, it has to be him. Pretty sure his primary points are insane right now too. Though no doubt the NHL would love nothing more than to give it to Ovie

Hadn't thought about that, but I think you're right. How long did it take the Flyers to rebound from the Carter/Richards trades?

Right. See: Kane, Evander

Sweet so another lottery protected first and some other version of Paille?
-
Yeah I know, I actually think they'll be in both. Lou's good at tanking ;)
