  1. Once you go through arbitration, you're stuck with that number. So if arbitration declares Scott Wilson worth $4M, we're screwed. But if Scott Wilson asks for $4M, we can negotiate and maybe get the guy we want at a different price
  2. It's so hard to listen to WGR when they have him on as an authoritative voice
  3. Traded for a garbage return. 3rd rounder plus some toss in prospect
  4. That was my first thought as well but Tampa is scheduled to meet with Tavares tomorrow. Either they've heard he's picked someone else, or they're confident they can move the space with or without Miller Point and Johnson
  5. Gary Bettman was inducted into the HoF today
  6. First thing he says 'I love the old jersey' Here's Dahlin walking around with Gilbert https://twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/1011725611176513536
  7. @TBLightning We have re-signed J.T. Miller to a five-year contract worth $5.25 million per season.
  8. Yeah I know what you were implying, but my point was in the full year he had with Kane he had 47pts in 79 games. I'm not so sure his development in the 2nd half of last year was really anything more than him figuring it out, adjusting to Housley, or having different usage
  9. Without #3 overall they have absolutely nothing I want
  10. We're in for such a longer rebuild of Botterill was about to make that trade. I have a strong feeling he's looking at Dahlin and his 2nd year here as the start to the rebuild, while the rest of us were really hoping this was the end of it
  11. Well, if that's the market for RoR, keep him. The only thing that could semi-salvage this for me would be if Botterill really did just love Wahlstrome that much
  12. Yes that's what I'm saying. They have similar levels of production for their position, and are moved a lot. Duclair doesn't, and is moved a lot. All 3 have in common the same personal issues allegedly
  13. God dammit. Fine, LeBron and Bosh then! :D He'd be the first franchise guy to leave for a new team in FA
  14. I'll believe it when I see it with Nylander. He's the guy I want moved this summer I did notice that too with Botts and Reinhart. He noticeably did it yesterday during the presser. It used to be Reinhart left out, and now it's RoR Oh :nana: :nana: Just the still
  15. Don't worry, he's learned https://twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/1010972258930700288
  16. First time skaitng as a Sabre https://twitter.com/BuffaloSabres/status/1011358863856160769
  17. He really does have the power to completely change not only the NHL landscape, but how FA and franchise players are handled and how teams are created going forward; a-la Garnette and Ray Allen
  18. he is notably left off the list whenever Botts talks about our core. Mittelstadt, however, is not
  19. They're not done yet by any means. Kessel and Letang are still big questions for them
  20. It was because he dicked around with the puck all damn day
  21. Yeah the museum thing is what I'm asking. There's been stories from people in the Flames organization that said instead of hanging out with his team Dougie just went to museums and stuff. Granted there's also been a good amount saying he was not at all happy not starting out on the top pp until January, and that the Flames like Brodie with Giordano a lot more style wise but Dougie obviously wanted to play the top pair
