  1. $12M cap moving to Arizona, $8.25M cap moving to Vancouver. All of the $12M cap that Arizona takes on comes off the books after next season.
  2. I'm very interested to see the rest of Ristolainen's career post-Sabres.
  3. If they think Risto can improve that much with a change of scenery there's some team out there that's gotta think Eichel can hit 60g and Reinhart 40g
  4. What's the point of that deal for them? Does it free up cap space for Eichel?
  5. I imagine CBJ took one look at what Risto just fetched and is now upping their price, especially now that Risto is off the table.
  6. I still think Eichel alone is worth Zegras + #3OA, but I doubt he fetches that much.
  7. Arizona was stripped of the 13th overall pick for violating the league's policies
  8. TBH I don't know enough about Comtois. I would be thrilled with however we can land Zegras though, let alone #3 overall with it.
  9. After what he just hauled in for Risto watch him flip Eichel for Zegras and Byfield somehow
  10. @thewookie1 posted it in the other thread, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Sabres flip this 13 to Anaheim to sweeten it for Zegras
  11. My guess would be working Boldy+Rossi against Zegras against Byfield
  12. Your point was that it's a lottery selection, I think a lot of factors determine how likely you are at succeeding in that lottery.
  13. It's not accurate. The same guys that are making this decision didn't make those decisions. The players available aren't the same, the needs aren't the same. Yeah the further you go down the draft the lower the odds get of hitting, but comparing specific draft slots historically doesn't make since in my opinion. Compare a grouping, say 3-5 picks at a time, since teams usually have those all graded similarly and it just depends on what the team directly ahead of you needs to what's available is more accurate. This chart displays that. It's not a linear degradation on a pick-to-pick basis, there are groupings. https://dobberprospects.com/2020/05/16/nhl-draft-pick-probabilities/
  14. Only in cheese and milk steaks
  15. I get the point you're making, and while I agree this list isn't really all that accurate/useful. There are plenty of guys drafted after 13 that hit. It's not as simple as saying this 13 = those 13s, or 13s historically are lottery tickets.
