I still want Erod with Eichel and Sheary
-
Anybody but ERod, that's for sure
-
I mean to be fair you just listed 3 HoFs, including the 2nd leading all time scorer, a potential 4th HoF, and compared them to Kyle Okposo

@lkorac10 Here's what I got: told that Patrick Maroon to #stlblues has been finalized, could be announced Monday & expected to be for one-year, $1.7 million & that Blues and Maroon will entertain a contract extension when first allowed in January. Looks like Oakville native is coming home. Blues nhl.com writer

What's the difference? 'Merica

At 29 no, no I would not. Like Hoss mentioned though, at 29 I doubt he wants to come here anyways. He's probably looking at a Dallas or something similar He was worth that good contract 5 years ago and instead took his garbage one for 6X$4M

I gave up thinking that a long time ago. 'Athletes should just stick to sports' is one of the dumbest things going

I've been out but...where is Dahlin
-
? Mean probably not, there never will be. But we can dream. I always find it amazing that hockey is really the only sport with such a large unknown about advanced stats I feel like I just took the SAT's all over again after reading that
-
There's gotta be something that accounts for that though. I don't know who and I don't know when, but I like to believe at some point someone will find the holy grail of stats

Housley Should Have Until End of December
WildCard replied to CallawaySabres's topic in The Aud Club
Been looking at those charts for awhile and am slowly coming to a conclusion that Risto just is what he is: a good offensive defenseman and a liability in his own end. Which honestly, I'm okay with Few things I found interesting about these charts though. - Scandella got consistently less time. Why? - Nelson shot up a ton, so did Guhle - McCabe is inconsistent - People here don't like Pomminstein and Okposo. Good news is, doesn't look like Housley does either. Though as soon as Eichel is out, Okposo and Pommers fall off the map. When Eichel is back, the opposite happens. Housley stapled the two slowest wingers to Eichel all year, and really never learned. Not great - Girgensons got a lot more trust as the season went on. A lot more. Conversely, Pouliot fell off the map -
Housley Should Have Until End of December

Here are the 5v5 minutes throughout the season for forwards and defenders (separated). Anyone else think Housley is learning? -
I'll get to it in the coming days when I'm not feeling like sh!t. So many charts in there I think I'll just end up making a separate thread for each because of the picture/attachments limits

Didn't know you had to pay for it but I'm seriously considering it now. Feel like a kid in a candy shop right now

Just combing through the reddit threads, grabbing a consensus of what can and cannot actually be confirmed Here's more from the Pagnotta

I think my favorite stat for any player really is the heat maps. Corsi just can't account for shot quality, and the numbers are usually so close when comparing them that it's so hard to say what the defining difference

Catching up on the weekend, so sorry if this has already been posted, but apparently the Karlsson trade talks have turned into a real pissing match. Tampa, Dallas, and Vegas are still the front runners. Tampa had a deal in place until Melnyk got cold feet and tried to throw Ryan in the deal again. This obviously didn't go over too well with Stevie Y, so Tampa is now standing it's ground Dallas is unwilling to part with Heiskanen, which is Ottawa's sticking point Not sure what the hold up is with Vegas. They have the cap space, but maybe not the picks/young talent. At this point it's pretty much whoever is willing to blink first. Karlsson is still 100% moving, it's just a matter of where at this point. My money is on Tampa. Dallas simply isn't going to part with Heiskanen, and I don't know if Vegas has the options. Stevie Y wins the mind game with Melynk, and puts his team back as favorites in the East

Noticed the ol' Soccer thread has become a club now. Are we leaning towards putting anything non-hockey related into club form?

Show us your leanings!

Here's mine, FWIW. I read some of the replies in here, but not all of them. Seems like there's a pretty strong favoring of one side on the political spectrum for this board. Pretty surprised by that honestly, considering how divisive I thought the Political Thread was supposed to be -

Maybe it's just me, but I can't seem to click on any of the twitter links people post here. When I select it, the dialogue just disappears. I had the same issue on TSW, but always supposed it was just because I wasn't a member

At this point our that's all our entire forward group is anyways
