Works for me

Melnyk will refuse to pay anyone, he wants the team to be as close to the cap floor as possible when he sells them. Still amazed Karlsson is still there
-
@FriedgeHNIC Arbitration for Mark Stone (OTT): team offer, $5M. Player ask, $9M. This could be a record case @FriedgeHNIC Largest arbitration award was Shea Weber, at $7.5M
-
Yes, he did. He is a great regular season manager, he is an awful post season manager. His decision on Chapman, to pull Kendricks, to repetitively start Heyward...Joe Maddon is an abomination in the post season. That said, he is amazing in the regular season
-
Joe Maddon fell ass backwards into a WS that post season with the Cubs
-
@manny_hockey Cody Ceci ranks 666th of 694 regular skaters in total WAR over the last 3 seasons. He's my 83rd-ranked RD That's the guy who created/runs corsica hockey. The reason for that tweet is prior to arbitration, Ceci wants $6M per year from Ottawa. Even without that stat, Ceci had 19pts last year

And when it comes to the market, especially the market's perception of players who just won a Stanely Cup, the market is usually desperate and overpays
-
Depends on the circumstances. Ovie's past performance at 25? Sure. Are you going to give Ovie that same contract at 35? Of course not
-
@CapFriendly Based on the #Rangers current roster as we have it displayed, the club only has one forward (Mika Zibanejad) under contract past the 2019-20 season. That being the case, New York has a mere $5,350,000 committed at the forward position for 2020-21.

The McDavid and Eichel contracts were supposed to be signs of eliminating this too, but I guess it's not juts going to all disappear at once

Welcome to the Winner's League

Yeah we should start planning a draft date soon. -
I'll remember to quote this when I'm looking down at you in the standings. So pretty much from September - January
-
I mean if we're not going to question moves made by GM's what the fck are we even doing here
-
I always hate this response. "That person is paid millions, they must know what they're doing!" For someone who continuously questions authoritative figures, it amazes me that you hold this stance PA

The Red Sox traded for Ian Kinsler, are they going for it? How about the Astros who traded for Osuna who hasn't played a game this season? Your criteria for going for it seems like the only team that qualifies is the Dodgers
-
Mike Rizzo (Nats president) just released a statement saying they will not trade Harper

UPDATE: Sam Reinhart signs 2-year extension -- $3.65MM per year

Any concern that this still isn't done yet? -
I would like to know what the average (standard?) deviation for a player's shooting percentage is from year to year. I would assume somewhere less than 2%
-
We gave up Tyler Austin and have made like 4 trades
-
I don't think the percentage he increases your chance of winning a WS are comparable to what his cost is. Dude is hitting like .220. He's still a phenomenal player, but he's the face of the Nationals and likely getting a $400M contract next. His cost is going to be absolutely insane, I'd rather not pay that when he's having one of his worst years ever, just to have one of his worst seasons for 4 more months; there are other rentals out there for so much cheaper that are better alternatives
-
? What is the point of trading for him now anyways? He's going to cost so freaking much, and everyone knows he's just going to go play for the Cubs next year anyways. At least with Machado and the Dodgers LA has a chance to keep him

Most hyped: Toronto Biggest Flop: Philly Best in the East: Tampa Best in the West: Nashville. I think Winny and Vegas take big steps back, Chicago isn't what they used to be, St. Louis has a hole in net, and Dallas is still missing depth Biggest surprise in the East: Sabres compete for a playoff spot. Sure, the top of the East is loaded, but the rest of it really is middling garbage just like us Biggest surprise in the West: Anaheim crumbles and cleans house
