Of our top 12 forwards, 9 of those are 1st round draft picks Of our top 6 defenders, 4 of those are 1st round draft picks. The other two were 2nd rounders https://www.rosterresource.com/nhl-buffalo-sabres/

Eichel doesn't just skate down the wing and shoot from the bottom of the circle every time. Or shoot from other impossible angles at every given chance. Kane's lack of hockey IQ was noted not because of the amount of shots but of the selection of them and his manner in generating them
-
I don't think he shot it because he didn't have a sniper on his line, I think he shot it because he knew if he passed it, he wouldn't get it back to shoot it. At least with Sheary and Reinhart on his line (hopefully), he can get the puck back, and in a better shooting position Exactly

UPDATE: Sam Reinhart signs 2-year extension -- $3.65MM per year
WildCard replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Players have remarked how bitter they are towards the team after arbitration and processes like this. I don't think it's wise to burn a bridge with a young player like Reinhart over $1M/year, especially when our cap isn't an issue -

He should get at least $5M/year -
Ah now I see...how long have you been working there? ?

Zach Bogosian, the Sam Bradford of hockey

I believe this is the opposite. The NL is adamant they will keep it, yes, but the chatter has been the other way around. In a sport starving for younger viewers, they won't eliminate offense

Touche ? To be fair we can use OBP, slugging, or anything else to describe a pitcher's ineffectiveness at hitting
-
Batting average is not the end all be all of stats. It's not even the best at describing what it's meant to I don't think it's the pitchers job to get drilled while he's on the mound...
-
I'd rather my pitcher focused on being a pitcher, so I can watch him be dominate at what he does best, than waste time perfecting being a hitter, only for him to suck at it, and tear a hammy running out a double play to first base

I know that, I get what their product is, that's why I won't buy it. If someone else finds it worth it I'm not going to rag on them, but I personally don't
-
Because I never find it worth it. I have paid subscriptions to things: Netflix, Spotify, Amazon...but I will not pay the Athletic to hear the same opinion I can hear anywhere else, or read the, IMO, sub-par breakdowns compared to what I can find here or do on my own. The only thing I would pay the Athletic for is breaking news, and for that I have twitter. Ultimately paywalls for any journalist article just aren't a unique enough product for me to pay for.

I think this is what it is. Thanks for the recommendations guys, this stuff is blowing my mind. Not sure I'll listen to that death tape though, Josie. Last time someone recommended something similar I still haven't gotten it out of my head. -
Mario Williams was worth every single penny we signed him for

It's the middle of the summer and we're desperate to see anything at all concerning maybe the most anticipated defender drafted of all time -
From one Buffalo GM to the next

I know it's the preseason, but Jackson looked pretty bad IMO for his first NFL action
