  1. Mean you're really overlooking how incredibly dominate Mariano was, but alright And I never said those players didn't deserve to be unanimous; the writers finally got it right making someone the first. It's the mentality you have that makes it so nobody ever gets it
  2. It's the a bunch of really old writers voting players in based off of character instead of talent. Curt Schilling should be in the HoF, but because he's an objectionable moron and jackas$ he's not
  3. Ah that makes sense. And agreed on both accounts for Bonds and Clemens. I just hate that if you let Bonds in, you're acknowledging his records, and that means Aaron gets screwed. Hank Aaron was more than just the home run record, he was a phenomenal hitter, but that's his claim to fame; taking that away from him means he's just going to keep getting swept aside in the conversation of all time greats
  4. The ol' steroids debate. I have no real reason for justifying it, other than he just won't admit it and he has a record he doesn't deserve, but I hope he never gets in
  5. Chiarelli being a GM is endless entertainment, this sucks. Color me shocked that Edmonton replaced him with a Gretzky though Philly already fired theirs. Nill seems to be on the owners food side, considering all the public backlash against Seguin and Benn from them. I'd bet Holland is next in a retirement-esk move to make room for Yzerman
  6. I'm assuming Edgar was on his lat ballot, or close to it, and McGriff is not? Either way, Mariano becomes the first unanimous player ever elected. Well deserved
  7. Never ?
  8. Fwiw that Messier tree is kinda funny for another reason: it's been pretty widely acknowledged that the alumni are running the show in Edmonton
  9. Really SDS, you'd bet your life that that ball didn't touch him at all?
  10. Still, at least Kelly and Marv don't try and make out with their kids
  11. By that point him and the other machines will have their revolution and we won't matter anyways
  12. It didn't eliminate it, it was not conclusive and the call on the field was he touched it. There's no way they should've overturned that
  13. Also, this is the Pats 3rd SB in a row. One more and they'll tie us
  14. McVay is far from the first/only coach to do this in football, but the fact that it exists is absolutely hilarious
  15. Gurley poking fun at the no call PI
  16. Do the Rams have a shot? I think they do. They can get pressure up the middle and stop the run, leaving the Pats one dimensional. They can also win in a shootout, and run the ball too.
  17. Go Rams
  18. Mahomes has been overthrowing touchdowns all night
  19. Brees isn't 30 years old Brees anymore ? And I blame touch screens and 5 degree weather on that
  20. Their defense had held Brees to 1 td that half. If Brees had put up 40 on them at that point sure but he didn't
  21. I fell asleep for the 3rd quarter, but if you're referring to the fg to tie it at 20 that was 100% the right call
  22. Officiating yes but coaching?
  23. You've asked this before and I've told you the answer. We're not in the 50s, technology has gotten remarkably adept at recording game statistics
