We seem to be discounting not winning the lottery. The difference between 1 or 2 is huge - even though we will still most likely get the player we wanted anyhow. Florida controls this draft. Don't think for a minute that GMTM did not want to be in this position.

What is unbelievable about it. We just completed one of the worse seasons in NHL history. If this was 2015 we would have fans in utter disbelief right now. Put together the best damn team possible and play hockey. Whatever happens happens. Enough of this draft lottery crap.

Call me crazy but i would much rather be watching a 7 game playoff series.

One of Ott, Moulson, or Callahan will be signed - possibly two. Even in tank mode they have to get some veteran leadership moving forward. Not to mention the cap floor. If they don't make any summer moves and keep Leino it would be taking tanking to an all time low.

Dumping two years for a couple high draft picks is one hell of a roll of the dice. First, it is a lottery system which does not guarantee you the top pick and second IT IS A DRAFT PICK!! There are no guarantees with a draft pick - don't care who it is. This year especially. My guess is 5 years from now the best player in this draft is someone nobody thought would be. And he will be playing for a team that didn't freaking tank to get him.

Just throwing this out there now that the dust has settled. All the FA's have been moved and we have a top 2 pick. This was the plan before and after DR. So, who do you HONESTLY think would have maximized the rest of the teardown. DR or TM? I can't help but think (and i fully understand he had to go) but a part of me thinks DR would have received more value for the remainder of the guys that TM moved. Both the Pominville and Vanek moves were very well done.

I will watch just as much of this Sunday night game as i do the other nights of the week - none!

I don't expect to be much better next year. I just hope we get to see more of our future playing here. Watching a team of waiver wire claims is not something this fanbase should have to endure for another full year. As for the tank. We can't tank anymore. The tank is complete. We cannot possibly do anything more to make this team worse. I am tired of pictures of tanks, tank tops, etc. We are a professional sports organization for crying out loud. Where is the pride? No way can i spend another year joking about "tanking". Plus i can't see checking out next year anymore than i have this year. That is the part that pisses me off. I can't watch this crap. And i miss it.

This roster is beyond horrible. 6 maybe 7 are NHL players. It is what it is and at least we don't have to worry about a late season run. All things considered i am just fine with this roster until the end of the season. McDavid or no McDavid i pray they put some resemblance of an NHL team on the ice next October. I can't take another year of "tank". I am tanked out.

Normally i would agree with you on this. However, when your two pages deep on a GDT it's pretty damn obvious that nobody is watching the game. Hence my post.

And THIS is better than fighting for a playoff spot and then having your team in the playoffs? At least then i would be watching unlike the last two months. Sorry guys a two year or more tank for some possible high end draft picks is not worth it to me. Odds are in five years the top teams of today will still be the top teams then. Good organizations win - not tank.

Lindy was a great coach here. His time had come and he is now proving in Dallas why everyone in the league knew he wouldn't be out of coaching for long. Having watched how he spoke during the Peverly incident only reinforced the kind of integrity he brings to an organization. Did he do everything perfect here - no, but we could have been a hell of a lot worse off than we were during his time here. IMO, the only thing he deserves from us is respect and appreciation. Wish him well and turn the page.

Tank over or not all i can say is i don't ever recall being this disinterested in the team in my life. For the last year or so we had the Miller/Vanek trade to keep us going. What we get for Ott, Moulson, etc. Now that those players are gone it really smacks you in the face how far we have to go. I just hope that by the time this is all said and done i still give a f. I don't think i watched 10% of the Bills games this year. Didn't miss it - didn't care. Going to be hard to ride this thing out for as long as i fear it's going to take.

Prefect example is everyones new favorite team - the Blues. How did they build that team? I don't recall it taking a 2 1/2 year tank to do so. Sure they had some lean years but i am pretty sure it was always under the mindset to get better. This mindset to suck balls for 2 1/2 years is really getting old.
