I am on the fence with this one. If we can turn Myers into a much needed sure fire scoring winger then I am all for it. Best case scenario we get McEichle and we suddenly have 2/3 of our top line. Worse case scenario we don't get McEichle and we draft Hannifan who should more than adequately replace Myers. GMTM knows this does not have to happen tomorrow. He has time on his hands. I think at some point he gets the offer he is looking for.

The only thing I can think of is that it is an organizational policy that if you are a first round pick you must have your head completely f'd with for the first year or two.

The crazy conjecture is when TN decided to sign his contract don't think for one minute that it was driven by $$$. It is not like he had numerous other opportunities. So he stays on board and buys into the plan. However, my feeling is he is far too competitive to buy in fully. I am simply stating I think this happens sooner than later. Crazy conjecture? No just a simple question. I will go as far to say it wouldn't surprise me if at some point he resigns. If memory serves me it took a little bit of time for him to sign his contract.

Like I posted in the GDT i hope it is they are getting him in shape. They couldn't have been happy with how he came into camp. Maybe once he drops the weight and gets his skating back to what they want he will be in. If juniors was his plan i don't think he would still be here. But what the hell do i know. If nothing else the last few years with this team has taught me to throw logic out the window.

How would you like to be Josh Gorges right now? Went from playing for a team that is a serious Cup contender in the best hockey town in the world to this mess. Now you tell me how you expect him to play with the same heart and passion night in and night out like he did in Montreal. Love to know what is going through some of these guys heads as they listen to TN tell them the same crap after every game. These guys are human. Nobody likes losing. Nobody likes being a laughing stock. Every guy in that room is better than what we see. Put each one of them in a different environment and watch them play. Night and day. They want to win. Management wants to lose. The coach wants us to think he wants to win. What a cluster f. Canes 4-2.

Tank, read the post, take a minute to think it through, then respond. Countless times you go on the attack and the poster has to waste time defending himself with an explaination to you that everyone else seems to be able to figure out what was meant.

For a coach that really hasn't won crap in this league to openly state he doesn't believe in systems or analytics is kind of pompous. He was the popular band-aid hire when this team hit rock bottom. GMTM knows he is not the guy. Problem was he had to keep him on due to his popularity. As that popularity fades GMTM will shitcan him and bring in the guy he wants.

It is not going to be a battle. Can't see how two teams could possibly be worse than this.

This team will score 3 or more goals 8-12 times this year at best. Tonight will not be one of them. 5-1 Hawks. Tough task for any team going in there on opening night. Could be real ugly.

Its because GMTM realizes he has next to nobody in the system that can score. If we are going to get any sort of offensive talent it will be through trade or this years draft. Right now our last 7 first rounders are 3 dman, Grigo, Girgs, Armia, and Reinhart. Sorry but nobody in that group has 30 goal a year potential. Hell 3 of them might not score 20 a year. I know i know give them time. We have D. We need O. I am all for turning Myers into some O.
