I totally get that. My point is it appeared the defender did a terrible job holding his position. Listen, I want nothing more than Grigs to become a stud. I think he could possibly end up being the most talented player to come out of this rebuild.

I think his defender took off like at a bat out of hell and forgot about his positioning. Grigs just stayed back and was wide open. He will get this type of goal in the AHL. Unless we trade him and he is playing against us I don't see that happening often in the big league.

After reading the article juniors is not happening. Keep him here and give him some games. If he is that much worse than Benoit/Meszarous then we are in trouble with him anyhow. Dress 7 dmen if you have to on occasion. Just don't let hom go to Russia. This season is wasted anyhow. Do what you have to in order to keep him here then next year he can get big minutes in Rochester if he still sucks.

With this most likely being his last coaching gig I doubt he quits. Probably needs the money and most likely the only reason he decided to stay. What I can see him doing is making it impossible for GMTM NOT to fire him. Then he gets paid and he can go home and collect a check for a few years. As for Lindy. 30 teams have a job opening. The two candidates are him and Nolan. How many hire Nolan? Yes his time here had come but to compare them as coaches is apples to oranges.

Most owners don't have fans that would accept it. Half empty arenas and nobody buying merchandise is not what they want - regardless of tv revenue. DR knew we would still support this team. And we are. Like someone else mentioned. DR got fired for doing exaxtly what he told TP he was going to do. Why did he get fired? Fan outrage! Then he hires PLF/TN. Why? To calm the fans down. The guy is a clown just like the main people working for him.

I am not saying to actively try to trade Girgs. What I am saying is nobody on this team should be off limits IF the right offer was made. That offer would have to be proven NHL players. Not picks/prospects. As for Cody. Another team may feel in THEIR environment he plays to his capability. He has talent and everyone in the league knows that. I just don't think he is the kind of guy that is going to buy into the work erhic TN demands on a last place team. Therefore, regardless of his talent he becomes a cancer. I feel that when GMTM finally has the team he wants to call his own it will include 3-5 of the players currently on the roster.

The only thing that concerns me is turning this team around is a huge task for even the best of GM's. Never mind a Cup - if he can manage to get us back to relevancy I will consider him successfull.

This year is a lost cause. I am talikng the future. I am talking real life NHL players. Not kids with potential who are 2-5 years away. If this plan has the best possible outcome and we are a serious Cup contender in 3 years who do you think in tonights lineup is part of that team. See - we have a LOOONG ways to go.

I don't want prospect/pick type trades. If your entertaining trading Myers add Hodgson to it and make it a big one. The only way we remotely turn this thing around is with some luck and taking a few risks. Hodgson has talent but no heart. He will never be a player to count on. There is not one player in this system i look at as untouchable. And that includes Girgs. When you are this bad you have to consider everything.

This rebuild is going well past 15/16. More like 17/18.

As good of players as they are I am sick of hearing their name. Not only that but can you imagine the expectation these guys will have if one comes here. Everything for the last two years has revolved around these guys. How will the 29 teams that don't get one of these 2 ever survive?

The only thing a trade would accomplish right now is doing the guy you traded a favor by getting him the hell out of here. I am all for making a few moves but nothing is going to get this team close to "competing for a playoff spot". Stewart and Stafford might get you a pick and a prospect. Yippee. A package of Myers/Hodgson is the type of deal i want to see.

Question to the season ticket holders - when/if do you stop going? Even though your stuck with the ticket it is still an expense to go to a game. When is enough enough? Not that it really matters at this point but i would love to see that place half empty every night. Ownership and management do not deserve the support they have been given.

Nobody in their right mind could have wanted this. The league, players, coaches, and most importantly the fans. A professional sports franchise should not be allowed to operate like this. I agree with you. We usually only debate what we see on the ice. Maybe the guy is a complete headcase. Usually seeing a psychologist before your 23 is not the best sign. Have to go with GMTM on this and accept that if he does move him it may be for reasons that we are never privy to.

I have to admit it was hard not to laugh - as most dads know sometimes the hardest part is acting like your pissed. Pretty much told him do something like that again and we will never go to a game again. When the guy that he blasted was being cool to him his eyes welled up with tears. Sometimes you know you don't have to say much.

Quick story. A few years back one of my sons dropped a ketchup packet during the national anthem. He decided to step on it as hard as he could. Exploded and went all over the guy in front of us. Unfortunately he was not wearing the slug red jersey. Everyone around us saw it and started laughing. I apologized to the guy and offered him $20 for cleaning. He was cool and thankfully did not knock my or my kids teeth down our throat.
