I make my living in baseball. Even I find it boring at times. Trust me you will see a pitch timer and batter in the box rules within 2 years. It is long overdue.

Tampa has had as much turnover as any team in the league the last 3 years. Yzerman came in and changed the culture. The coach he hired didn't work out so he fired him and moved on. He made some very unpopular moves that he wasn't afraid to make. I hope GMTM has the same self confidence to pull the trigger with some of these guys. I agree with you some of them have to go or the culture will never change.

I don't know about that. Whenever Tampa gets beat down here it is always similar coach speak. "We didn't work hard enough ","we didn't come to play"....blah blah blah. Talent wins and we have no talent. Period. Hard work will get you a win here and there when the other team doesn't show up but nothing is fixing this mess anytime soon. TN called it like it is. We are a Pee Wee team. He can't say that anymore. So back to hard work and effort we go.

When Stafford, Stewart, Moulson, Gionta, and Hodgson have one goal between them we have far bigger problems than Myers. Still think GMTM moves him by Christmas though. We have hit rock bottom and he has to do something.

And how much is Meszarous getting paid???? What Gorges is getting paid is not the point.

These picks will be high teens low twentys at best. My early season prediction is we have 2, 19, and 23. Isles out in 1st round Blues out in 2nd.

Have to feel for the guy. His heart and soul was in Montreal. Came here and has been nothing but the ultimate professional. He is giving this team far more than they are giving him. You want to see how bad organizations ruin good players keep watching.

At least they are making it easier to root against them. Once Reinhart and Zadarov are gone you have about 5 guys playing that are part of this teams future. I don't want the rest of these clowns that are just passing through town to mess this up. If we were playing guys like Grigs, Reinhart, etc I would want wins. Benoit, Meszarous, etc. No thanks. Just do your job and ensure us McEichle. That is why your here.

Player A and player B are very similar in skill. Player A can go to Rochester his 2nd year. Player B has to spend a 2nd year in junior. Which player do you feel will develop quicker? I want the guy who can go to Rochester. If what has happened with Grigo and Zadarov isn't enough verification of that I don't know what more i can say.

No. Obviously top ten picks you go with best available because they have best chance to be on the team within a year or so anyhow. Perfect example is Girgs and Grigs. Or Risto and Zadaov for that matter. Both Grigo and Zadarov have to go back to junior the second year. The other two didn't. Who's growth do you think was accelerated? Our pick you go with the obvious. I guess I should have clarified that. The NYI and St. Louis pick I want a guy who can be in Rochester year 2. Where those picks will be the talent is very equal. Hope that better explains it.

Is anything ever easy around here? They need to stick to drafting guys in the first round from now on that are eligible for the AHL the second year. Think that would be huge when factoring in player development. Not as big of deal with 2nd rounders and beyond but they need to end this annual BS with these guys.

Has anybody heard from GMTM this year? Other than this forum kind of out the loop for the local reporting/interviews. Just seemed like last year from the time he was hired to the draft he was very open and accessible. I don't expect him to come out and tell us everything going on behind the scenes but from here the state of this team is simply and solely if TN thought they worked hard enough or not.

Someday there will be RJ night at the FNC. Hopefully this night is down the road a bit but I can guarantee you with the exception of raising a Cup banner it will be the most emotional night in Sabre history. When they play a collage of famous moments in team history with RJ's famous calls there will not be a dry eye in the house. Players come and go but there is always RJ. When I watch replays of these moments it is not the goal that gives me goosebumps- it is the emotion you feel from RJ's call. BTW, great post Heimdall. Glad you decided to pick our team to be your team.

Not sure if this has come up elsewhere but yesterday we were all harping on how they are using Reinhart. We are all assuming they are wasting his 9 games on 4th line etc. My question is has it ever been mentioned by GMTM that he is going back? Maybe the plan all along is to keep him here and let him get his 8-12 minutes a game for now and as the season progresses he will work his way into more minutes and, hopefully, PP time and time with better forwards around him.

This is the part that pisses me off. You go all last year sucking ass to get in position to draft Reinhart. The kid has 9 games and you bury him on the 4th line. If he is that bad just send him back now. Different GM, different coach - same ludicrous decisions. When the f will they learn??

I think we average less than 1.8 gpg. Could very well be a 40-50pt team.

Yeah that is awesome. The only time I made the jumbotron was in Tampa. I was in the middle of trying to stuff half a bag of cotton candy in my mouth. Not my best moment. My family thought it was funny though.

Who's history would you rather have? Both franchises have had their sucking stage. We are having a good suck right now. Hopefully we have the same happy ending as the Kings. Multiple happy endings - even better.

And like I said it must be nice to not worry about it.
