I made the decision to keep Stafford 2 games ago. I have since changed my mind. Odds are you will change yours as well.????

Yep, same guy. I just don't think Detroit comes off either right now. Mantha in the AHL is similar to Armia last year. Give him a year and he will be just fine. Also, I think Grigs is going to be just fine. Give him wingers that compliment the kind of style he plays and he will be fine.

Just a pet peeve of mine. If people take the time to post the last thing they want to do is have their post graded like a third grader. Yes, you have been better and I am sorry if i directly called you. I just think some of this petty nitpicking of posts is why so many people lurk. We need more people to post. Again, sorry for jumping on you. Let's not let the thread get derailed by us going back and forth. Tank on!!

If it was an occasional isolated correction that is fine. However, you tend to do it whenever possible. You have kind of taken on this role of forum police. Let the mods mod. Let the posters post. Including you!

With us already having 3 this year I would be ok with devaluing it for 2016 if it meant a 1st next year vs a 2nd this year. If no other reason than it gives the Sabres a little extra time with some of these current prospects to see if they can make it or not. At some point the 50 man roster will be a concrn with all these picks/prospects we have in the system.

The way Larkin just played we may have a better chance to get Mantha now. Which is still next to none.

Can't see either of them being that big of difference maker. If either of those two are going to be plugged into the top 6 then that team is probably not winning the Cup. I just think that with this years draft teams are going to be less apt to come off a 1. Maybe if we added a later pick to the mix. Like a 3rd or 4th.

I think he might get 1st rounders for both Stewart and Stafford but it is probably more likely they will be in 2016. I can see teams offereing 2nds this year because of the quality of the draft.

I think they should be called Benny and the Mess when grouped together. At least it puts a decent song in your head when you lump them together.

I think McDavid is going to be great. That is stating the obvious. I also think in the two years we have been in tank mode that we have created a player in our minds that will be hard pressed to live up to on the ice. Reinhart looks far better and we saw how not ready he was for the NHL.

I think with Stafford being here for as long as he has his heart might be into it more than Stewart. I think Stewart gets his money and lays down. With his track record I wouldn't risk it. I just get the feeling from listening to Stafford that he has reached a point in his career that he finally gets it. Its not like we can't sign him to a fair contract and trade him later. For where this team is right now I think we are better off with Stafford on it than another pick or prospect.

We need a win against Tampa. Both Carolina (Pitt) and Edmonton (Calgary) should get wins as well. Need to keep pace.

More teams the better. He is playing better as of late and I think Murray will get either a high end prospect or a first when it is all said and done. He won't get both. That said add me to the small list of people wanting to re-sign Stafford. I think as he is getting older he could end up being the kind of player that we need.

If your basing it on these 3 games there are a lot of guys that look better than McDavid.

If we trade for Larkin and draft a center (McEichle, Strome, Marner, etc) I don't see where Grigs fits. If we draft Hannifan then Larkin could possibly be moved to wing and Grigs stays. One thing for sure is with all these picks and prospects Murray has a million options to make moves.

I think Ott was an option but not Miller. He made it more than clear he wanted a fresh start. I do agree though that when Murray got here they were so deep into the tank that he had no choice but to go for the top pick. Then going into this year he pretty much had a free pass. If we suck oh well because we wanted McEichle anyhow. If we play better than expected then that is good also. Not a bad way to walk into your first GM gig.

He seems very timid. Hopefully when that wears off he will play the way I think he is capable of playing. Time will tell but if we draft another center in the top 6 I see him being someone Murray packages in a Myers type trade.
