I think it has more to do with the timing of it. No pun intended. My kid plays HS baseball. He is 16. What he has to go through everyday is amazing. Example: school starts at 7 ends at 1:55. On game day he is back at 4 for meetings. 5:00 is field prep. 5:45 to 7 is pregame warmup. Game is 7-9:15ish. After game they must rake the field and put down tarps. Usually home by 10. Then homework and off to bed. Next day is pretty much identical. If they are late to anything they run 10 poles as a team. This goes for any player. A player gets two chances. Third time he gets two game suspension. There is no 4th time. Nikita needs to get his ass out of bed. My son and every other kid just like him don't get paid.

I think he takes a 5th for him. Helps the tank. Nobody is giving up much for a backup.

Why, because any other player would have been sent back to the CHL or AHL. So, now because he can't be he sits in Buffalo and reports to camp overweight and gets suspended for stupid shizit. Meanwhile, players like Pysyk sit in Rochester all year and bust their ass and do what a professional is asked to do. They see what is happening and are supposed to just keep showing up for work everyday and bust their ass. This isn't just about Zadarov growing up. It affects the entire organization. When the kid signed his contract and received his first check the kid crap goes out the window. Next year when our two year tank prize of McEichel reports to camp overweight and can't follow the rules as everyone else just remember - he is just a kid.

You don't need to apologize for . The guy is a professional athlete. He is expected to conduct himself in a certain way. Does a 19 year old use the excuse he is just a kid in the military. No he doesn't. If we were in the playoff hunt would it be acceptable? Would people be a little more pissed? I think we all know the answer to that one. Just because he is 19 and many on here have a love affair with the guy does not mean the organization shouldn't be very concerned. Don't be surprised when his name is included in a deal this summer.

When the younger Jacobs took over a few months ago he was pretty animated in his presser. Said that missing the playoffs is unacceptable in Boston and, if they did, they would be looking at everyone from the top down. Think that may be where the rumblings came from. As usual on game day I will spend more time on this forum than I will watching the game.

Numerous reasons. One they will only be 18, two the talent around them, three if TN is still the coach we will have no system, four the PP will still suck because of #3, five they will most likely have minimal offensive defenseman to help the rush, and last but not least - it's Buffalo.

We will not be in tank mode but I still think we are without a doubt a bottom 5 team.

I know I have mentioned this before but Kessel owns a home 10 minutes from me. My son works at a restaurant he goes to all the time. One of my friends did his landscaping. Another friend of mine is a fishing captain who has fished him and a few other of Kessels friends for Tarpon. They all say at first he was kind of a douche. Then once he got to know you he is awseome. The cost to get him would be way to high. I will tell you that he told my son (who openly told him the Sabres were his team and he hated the Leafs) that he woyld love to play in Buffalo. Said it is a great town with great fans.

Trottier isn't taking anything over. As for TN being a great motivator. I don't buy that. He is the journeymans best friend. The only guys that play motivated for him are the stiffs that realize he is probably the only coach in the league that would play them in the role that TN does. He is more worried about head f'ing players than he is developing them.

Good post. His style of both coaching and motivating will not work as this team moves forward. Sooner the better as far as I am concerned.
