I think it is as simple as Stewart and our second. I would rather do that than give up a prospect. Boston makes the playoffs and they give up at worse 16-18 draft slots for Stewart. They go deep and it becomes 6-8 slots. Put a stip in the deal that it is protected by adding Boston's third if the difference is less then 8.

I think we all need to make an agreement that no matter what happens the rest of the way that when the final whistle blows this season the word tank is forbidden on here. We are all sick of it. That much nobody can argue.

The tank is the most important aspect of this season. Management has chosen this direction for the team. For the fan base not to discuss it and for it not to be a topic of conversation is unreasonable. There is no way possible to put a positive spin on anything that is happening this season. So whether you use the word tank or just say we suck you are still going to get the same negative and frustrated threads. It is what it is and I think we have all reached our wits end. People getting a little testy is to be expected by now. Excellent point. Burying our head in the sand isn't going to make things better.

I agree it is annoying as hell. I am so sick of it I could puke. However, it is the path this organization has rammed up our ass so we might as well see it through. I would be fine without McEichel - had we not tried so freaking hard to try to make it happen. From day 1 I was against the tanking logic. Over time we have no choice but to accept it and hope for the best possible outcome. That isn't Hannifan, Strome, or Marner. So take the word tank out of it. I am sick of it also. From this point forward I think we should just hope for the best possible draft pick. That is our only reward for this horrendous stretch of Sabre history.

I have LOST way more money picking Buffalo teams to win than I have picking them to lose. So based on that theory and my desire for them to lose I need to take Arizona and hope I lose. I will donate $50 to the Buffalo charity of your choice if Buffalo wins the CHL. If me betting against them helps the cause I am all in. CHL betting and reverse psychology is very difficult at the same time.

At game 55 we had a 12 pt lead on Arizona. After game 61 we have a 6 pt lead. So in my book at the current pace they will be tied by game 67. What happened the first 50+ games is irrelevant. Right now Arizona is playing the worst hockey in the league. DR is not finished leaving his mark on this franchise.

Arizona is our biggest threat these last 20.

My point was the organization for the last two years did not deserve to have the support it did. The FNC is still full, people are still buying the merchandise. They were given a free pass. Some hockey towns would not have been to accepting of "suffering". Try selling that theory in Detroit or Montreal.

164+ games of what we have had to endure is a joke. I could care less what some scribs write. 3 years from now maybe it will pay off but that is a big ???????????. If we have accepted the tank for almost two full seasons then we have to accept that we need to lose these games. Murray and Nolan have been split since PLF quit. PLF and TN came in with visions of turning this thing around. Pegula and his boys said "slow down we are still going through with the plan of our sacrificial lamb". PLF had already hired Murray and said screw this. TN was desperate for work and Murray had his first gig. And here we are. The story of the Buffalo Sabres is pretty easy to read. Tank or no tank this organization has been a joke since and before Pegula took over. We as fans have been as loyal as possible - more so than we should have been. Thank god these days of accepting this crap are almost over. We as a fan base have to demand more once this season is over. As for Pysyk add him to the victims of this pathetic organizational wisdom of finishing last two years straight.

We all look at things differently. Time will tell I guess.
