Bless Vernors. I don't find it very often up here, and I miss it. Every time I go back to NW Ohio, I binge the stuff. A little taste of home. -

Yeah, eh, needs to be a bit better than "oh look, hot lady". I worry she might be too monotone. I've watched all the trailers multiple times, she has no inflection/expression and it worries me. BUT I'm not a ScarJo fan yet love Black Widow, so I'll take what I can get haha -

I'm going to offer one that I just learned of last night.... Kung Fu Panda 3. It's on Netflix. Yes, you heard me, a sequel of a sequel. And I'd vouch that it's the best of the three, or slightly below the original. A grumpy movie reviewer I follow said it was good, I found other reviews saying it's surprisingly good and has heart, so d4rk and I gave it a whirl last night. Really quite sweet, gorgeous animation, and they really let the artists go nuts with style (some interesting 2D animation styles and nearly video game like parallaxing backgrounds). I'm not even a Jack Black fan, but it's good, and a shame no one bothered with it because we all, including myself, assumed it was yet another awful rushed cash grab on a far too stretched franchise. Looking forward to a couple in the next few months: Dunkirk and Wonder Woman (oh god oh GOD please don't screw this one up). -

Shall I bring a rolling pin and take practice swings at you so you can learn to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and dodge? -
Aww :C Glad you gave it a go, though. Keep at it! I did a soccer tourney about 5 months after being able to walk again. I was fine in games 1 and 2, but then it had enough and I was a hobbling mess. So, don't push it too hard! I'm just now working on getting my toe point back by stretching it with resistance bands via one of my aerial instructors. Been a year and change and I still have a week here and there where it "acts up" and aches/pings with pain. I am currently slathered in Arnica gel. I went to RockVentures on Sunday with my friend and got to the tire on top of the one obstacle course. Failed twice, and came away with a horrid leg bruise. Well, it healed up, and then yesterday my trapeze instructor is like "lol let's do insane heavy leg hang rope work!" and even with trap boots, I now have a black and angry leg. And tons of bad bruises up my other leg and arms from fingerprints... lots of swingy traditional catch and release partner work. My body looks like hell. But, it beats the internal bleeding I was having from basing heavier people a month or so ago!

haha just ask d4rk, sometimes settling for a 6/10 with an interesting personality is ok  I knew a lot of models (some have really actually made a living out of it) in college. Going out with them was fascinating. Doors opened/opportunities appeared that never would for an average person like me, and sometimes I think not having to work for it made them less curious. But hey, you'll find someone. :( :( :( Ugh, I'm sorry. There's a pile of shingles in the courtyard outside my door. Bits of siding everywhere, too. Only good thing about renting is, not my problem... My complaint is just if we don't get approved for this apartment because I'm currently seeking full time employment (self employed doesn't count anywhere) I will be so absolutely disappointed in myself. I'll have officially effed more lives than just my own. Also, hockey. Good lord. Between the Sabres and the Red Wings I'm just not even watching anymore. I feel like a sh!t fan, but god. I have more pressing things to do.

I mean, we could name one Axle Valentine and expect him to become a drug dealer/superhero.... Congrats on the soon to be new addition! Avia makes me think of flying. I'll echo others here- it's close to my ideal girl's name- Eva. Evelyn has always been my first choice for a girl. My family is mostly Joseph's and Anna's... hence my name... Joanna... but we also have the kooky Tennessee hill folk with names like Oda Lee, Hattie, Tyna, Joy... Hance, Boyd, Arlene... woof. Boy names are so hard. I hate most boy names. Maybe it's because almost every boy name is associated with an a$$hole for me, or they're just too foreign for either of our last names.

Preach. I effing HATE that whiny time wasting "oh we're bohemian so give us carte blanche to be sh!theads" bore. I haven't seen it. But just the clip they showed at the Oscars, which is of him doing just that... I was reading something, half listening, and had to look up because i was so grossed out. Not just explaining, maaansplaining. Yeah, a term tossed around by SJW's and overwrought outrage hobbyists, but trust me, every gal has had a guy sit down and try to Chaucer their deep philosophical feelings on a common interest in an overbearing pedantic manner that far transcends passionate discourse into "let me impress you with my superiority" , and Gosling had it down pat. Not sure I could stomach the movie. That and they can't sing. And I'm a huge musicals fan. Well, some of them. F*** Rent. -
Another week down, another week without a job lead. I feel utterly horrible and useless and hate that d4rk is offering to pitch in financially and this isn't right, I hate this, I never wanted to be anyone's burden, I'd sooner off myself than be a leech on someone else. ER bills are rolling in, I guess the good thing is I hit my deductible already. I'm eating through my hard won savings, I'm watching everything I've worked for disintegrate and realizing my previous successes mean nothing. But other than that, life's peachy.

GDT: Arizona v. Buffalo, 3/2/17 at 7:05 MSG and WGR

Yeah, I'm gonna be too wrapped up with other women in ropes to be able to watch this one. It's a horrible team, therefore we will seize defeat from the jaws of victory. -
If the weather was nicer I'd recommend walking up and down Park Ave/popping into the cafes or shops there or hiking Corbett's Glen- one of my favorite spots. Lots of little waterfalls and a pretty steep hill to clamber up for a cool view. Or wandering the canal down in Pittsford by Schoen's Place. Anything where you can talk, and moving makes things smoother IMO. You can skate indoors at the Ritter as well at RIT when it's open. But hey- good luck!!! Have fun!

Dude, that sounds like an amazing time. They have so many films I wanna see. I always kinda judged dates by well, if we dig doing the same kind of stuff and there's not too much posturing, deal's on. Fancy ass restaurant? No sir, now I just feel guilty- save that for a few dates in or an anniversary. If we can get babbling over coffee, plans kinda just go from there. And the best dates are the ones where you just end up talking for hours somewhere. But keep that backup plan :)

Catch a flick at the Little. Go to one of the hip fancy bars. Go to one of the great divey bars. End up at Jay's Diner, ask for Deb, get a great milkshake. Wander the Eastman House/catch a film at the Dryden after a few too many at the Old Toad. Skate at the outdoor rink downtown. Shoot each other at NVP paintball. Climb at Rock Ventures (kinda pricey). Boulder at Red Barn (kinda out of the way). Get food at the Genesee Brew Pub and stare at the waterfalls together. Go jump around the trampoline park in Henrietta. Hit up Lyell Ave for some hookers and heroin.

Well that was an underwhelming afternoon. At least I got a brief glimpse of Bryz and one of the other dude's heads photoshopped onto a muscle bod and Chris Farley's bod. I missed my chance to screenshot it :(
-
Streit from Flyers to Lightning
-
I'd watch that.
-
Yes. They were cracking about their bodies not being what they used to and Bryz goes "shirts off! Let the fans vote. We'll all be topless" (all men, btw). Just general silly Bryzness happening.
-
Bryzgalov is trying to get a room full of reporters topless in order to see who has the best body. Never change, Bryz. Never change.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

I remember some fan scuttlebutt when that happened- people were really down on him. He wanted more money (5 million a season) and Detroit wouldn't pay it. Tampa would. So he went. I don't know if it has any bearing, but the lockout had just happened and he'd played for Jokerit during that. Maybe decided he needed a shakeup?

Word is Vanek goes to Florida.

Ott to Montreal in return for a 6th round pick in 2018. Oof.
