Oh holy crap. Toledo. That's my hometown. Well, Perrysburg, but that's a suburb of Toledo. Stay classy, Toledo. :(

I hate to say it, but Det Bos today was much more what I expected from this series. Perhaps the atmosphere at the Joe can rev the Wings up again.

If you don't know the geography, it goes Poland, Czechoslovakia, Holland, Venezuela, Africa, Beirut, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon...

Always. You scary.

Being nice, apologetic, and having a (very guilty feeling) agent who apparently used to work for Enterprise helped. He knew exactly what game they'd used on me. I settled on paying half. I understand their stance, I DID sign the paperwork, but I was duped into doing so. Expensive little life lesson. It ain't over yet, but it's some progress. I've missed most of the workday because I've been on the phone. A small bit of incompetence flaps the butterfly's wings and then a ###### storm's a comin', Rand.

Now I'm finding out the goddamn idiot insurance agent back home has screwed up royally and I might be uninsured completely at the moment. Thank GOD I'm switching out of there. He already screwed up my rental policy. I also discovered i got suckered by the rental car place- they told me to sign on for insurance with them, it seemed like a "you need to do this or you can't drive this car" deal, so I did- just discovered that I'm covered anyways by my main insurance and am now on the hook for $200 bucks in worthless insurance because I'm too stupid/inexperienced to have known to say no. I am beyond exhausted, I broke down sobbing at work, holy ###### I need a beer. None of this latest ###### would have happened if the collision place had just done the damn repairs correctly the first time. How tough is it to put a damn swaybar on correctly and NOT upside down? Use unbent parts? Put a cotter pin in? ARGH

Are we engaging in yellow journalism here on sabrespace now?

d4rk had to break up with Le Sport du Hockey on facebook. It took a long time for him to figure out if I was worth it. 3 years later and I'm sorta kinda beginning to think he might maybe feel that way a little bit.

You really see the Grand Rapids Griffins getting that far? I admit I'm a homer for thinking/hoping they might eke out a win over Boston but I don't expect a deep run. I have hope because we were more blah last year and still took Chicago to OT game 7. Detroit (assuming this lightning in a bottle team chemistry isn't upset by Z coming back from injury) Pittsburgh Montreal ( I'd love Tampa, but I fear without Bishop they're belly-up) Philadelphia (hate flyers, but I think they'll find a new gear in round 1) Colorado Anaheim Chicago Los Angeles ( I really hope I'm wrong on this one, but the Sharks always choke. I've been burned before) I will shamelessly be wearing the winged wheel everywhere for a while, as I've apologized on this board before for being from Detroit land. After all, won't be more than a year or two before I'll be torn between Sabres and Wings in the playoffs ;)

She was pretty attractive in Striking Distance... Stole my name in that movie, too.

who, sarah jessica parker? Also, nice signature, 11.

Luongo's new mask is similar, too. I dig it. I also really dig the BlueJackets mask with the undead civil war union soldiers. Very Eddie from Iron Maiden.

Sports Illustrated: 2014 Goalie Masks. Good pictures of them, too. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nhl/photos/1404/2014-nhl-goalie-masks/1/

Good to hear it, 11!!!! It's warm out, I conquered my towering to-do list at work yesterday in record time, 90% of my office is at PAX so we may just go home early and/or play Goat Simulator aaaaand I'm wearing a dress. TGIF.

Aw c'mon. If I cared that much we wouldn't work. Have I really ever said anything about it? If you stay in gym shorts and tshirts, you stay in gym shorts and tshirts. I'd rather you're comfortable than sweaty and grumpy. You're the one who wants to match my fabulous sundress/heels summer aesthetic. :D

Aw. My first car was yellow and plastic-y. Then again, I was a 16 year old girl, and a bright yellow stickshift Boss Mustang was about the coolest thing in the world to me. and No, I don't like the third jersey. Give me a time machine and I'll see what 16 year old Jo would've thought.

Took my car in to trade it in for a new lease. Discovered that the shop my insurance recommended me to use after my accident in January put the car back together wrong. So, I'm driving another rental car, waiting on insurance runaround, and generally feeling pretty sick of cars, insurance, and the whole shebang. To continue the whine course today, most of my coworkers are at PAX East, which means I got stuck with a coworker's very large project not really in my field of expertise. Originally it was due in September. Then we're told last week it's needed this friday. I find out yesterday it's needed today. I'd been helping along all week, but my coworker (who is incredibly talented and tough to match) is a lot slower a worker than I'd thought soo.... it's behind. I worked 12 some hours on it yesterday before my retinas were fried, dreamt about it all night last night, and here at 11 AM haven't the foggiest clue what I'm doing or how I'm going to do it. All of the coffee.
