Wondered how long this would take... I had so many different guys and techs mess with my fill nipple, trying to get it to seat correctly... anything to keep my tank from blowing. Wasn't that enjoyable.

d4rk and I can relate. I had a faulty O-ring that would always go at the least opportune moments. Made me feel like such an idiot, fiddling with the fill nipple and not fixing a damn thing. d4rk loves building frankenstein guns out of ancient parts. Me, well, I stick to a well maintained A5 and call it a day haha

I worry about them. Ever since my neighbor growing up had a coronary when out for a run a hot day, I keep an eye on the runners around my apartment complex. Seems to be a lot of people out there who think that just because they had been in shape (my neighbor was a wrestling coach/former football player) once when they were younger, they can/should run a decent distance on a thermometer spiking afternoon. On a whim. And then only do it once a month or so. I mean, good on you for getting out and exercising, but be smart about it! My own father does this. He's not a heavy man, but he'll be 70 this year, and seems to think that he can just go run 5 miles without ever really working up to it. He comes back a freakish pall of clammy grey and red. Scares the ###### out of me. Consistency/pacing- can't really have one without the other when you're starting out.

I'd come to your aid, but I already feel horrible for laughing. See ya in hell.

Wow, good on those guys and your team to reciprocate. It's a shame how a couple of bad apples and leave a bad taste in your mouth. Interesting the ref waived the handshake, too. Dumbasses sadly seem to abound in what should be fun hockey. Had a situation where a walk-on on my team was a real douche to the other team's goalie after injuring him. Ruined the whole game. I'll never understand.

It's not that irrational. I've been indirectly hit twice- once it hit a fire hydrant nearby and then me- knocked me flat out. Felt buzzy and weird when I came to. The other time I was actually inside and it hit the house, and somehow came through the cable box. It hit my mum, the cat on her lap, and ended in me. Her socks were burned, the cat was woozy, and I had a soda can leave scars on my hands where it had burned me. Mum said the can actually glowed in my hand. I joke it's because of the metal in my heart. Hardest I've ever run was a thunderstorm, too. Tornado sirens wailing, I was running to my car in full panic, in a dress and heeled sandals... and I tripped, broke the straps on the sandals, and managed to break both of my big toes' nails in half by slamming them into the asphalt as my shoes broke/came off my feet oddly. Bleeding everywhere I just flat out barefoot legged it across a flooding parking lot, got in my car, and just screamed my head off in pain. Don't run in heels, boys. Don't run in heels.

I saw the pictures! Congrats, man! :D Took my car in to a different mechanic this morning. Guess what- I'm not crazy. Something loose with the sway bar (which the collision shop had put on wrong after my accident, and this shop had re-fixed). A bit of drilling, some hardware replaced- problem solved, and they didn't charge me. It wasn't even making the noise this morning- too cool- and they still figured it out and listened to me. I'm so happy they found the problem.

Shiner Bock. One of my favorites.

Here it is. There are quite a few typos, but I left them in. It's backwards on the blog, but the chapters easily navigated. That top post there explains who he was, and how he had the story written (he was dying of Lou Gherig's at the time). My grandpa went to the Aleutians during the war- he had a choice to stay with Thumper and probably would've ended up in the same predicament- but he said "I hate bugs" and went north with the Air Force. http://thepagesbetween.blogspot.com/

Are. You. Kidding. Me. Astounding. My neighbor growing up was a D-day survivor. He was captured during the battle of the bulge and ended up a POW the rest of the war. He passed before I was old enough to really hear him tell stories- he told me I was too young when I asked around age 8 (I've been obsessed with history for years). I've heard some of them second hand though- that man saw some ######. Speaking of WWII stories, my grandpa had a friend who survived Bataan. He wrote about his experience and I put the manuscript up on my blog a few years back. If anyone ever wants to read it, I can provide the link. Interesting stuff. Nothing to do with D-day, but when I think of war and survival, he comes to mind.

(OT) Confirmed: Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban leaders at Gitmo
josie replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
Wow. That's fantastic. Should've mentioned that you would have to go to Argentina to get it done.... -
I'm with you on that. I miss not sweating.

I took a picture off my balcony when I got home this evening right at that "golden hour" moment, and remembered that I had a shot from the same spot from back in December. It was about 5 AM and the first really substantial snowfall- I was up going to the airport to go home for Christmas. It was dead silent, and no color anywhere. Not even the red bridge registered as red. Completely grey and blue and washed out. I enjoy the juxtaposition.

Whatever it is, temperature makes it better or worse. It must be delicate enough that at 80 degrees, the metal expands just enough to make wretched horrifying noises, but now today, at 55 degrees, it's relatively quiet and more like an intermittent rocking noise. I'm hoping it's warmer Monday morning when I take it in so they hear it in its full glory.

:P Those silly feminazi voices in my head... If only I'd comforted my man with a home cooked meal and a smile when he came home, while appearing pleasing and welcoming, I wouldn't have been so brazen and made the mistake to try my hand at such manly pursuits. Can confirm.

I'd been thinking linkage for a while, or something slightly off place and rubbing, d4rk says he thinks it's a strut. It's definitely something in that area, though. I'm taking it to a different shop Monday morning. I'm not worried about structural integrity as much as I want the peace of mind. :( It's good to hear you're healing a little bit. You're in my thoughts, 11.

Oh yeah- don't watch horror movies if you share a bed with a sleepwalker. I watched Devil's Rejects with a friend last night and then in the middle of the night, d4rk ripped the sheets off me inexplicably in one of his half awake/asleep moments. I just about ###### the bed.

hm. It disappears once I hit about 30mph, usually only present when turning/immediately after on a straightaway. Actually, if I turn at all to right now, at any speed, it makes the noise. Soft turns on highway/changing lanes no problem, but anything sharper, get the clunking/groaning metal pulling on metal. Yeah. That's.... inexcusable. I've had mine ignored/forgotten twice by significant others- does not feel good. At all. Ever. No matter what excuse they've got. I'm sorry, bio. Happy birthday! Enjoy a good glass of great whiskey.

I could kick a puppy today. My phone keeps bricking, which means my alarms don't go off, and I sleep in, missing time to run or get some work done. My car's had a weird noise since it was re-repaired after my accident in January. Horrible clunking when turning right. Worse in heat. Now there's a good spring-being-broken twang to go with it. Pretty sure it's a strut. Took it in to the place I plan to trade it in at (which supposedly was supposed to happen end of May...this is what I get for insisting on driving manual) and they claimed they couldn't hear it. It clunked the whole way there and the whole way home. BS. Little woman doesn't understand cars, let's put it on a lift, look, nothing's wrong, go home lady, your car is fine, it might be brake fluid. clunk clunk clunk. So now the clunking is getting kind of terrifying. Louder, more frequent, accompanied by lovely vibrations. Car handles alright, just this noise. I do not have time to take the damn thing 45 minutes away to the dealer again just to be told I'm imagining it. And since the weather's cooler, there's a higher chance of whoever not hearing it on the 30 second drive into the service garage. And I'm too ###### shy/intimidated to push the issue/insist on a ride along. Like they'll listen to me anyways. I am so ###### sick of dealing with this car. Yes yes I know, I'm lucky to have one, it's a small problem in the grand scheme of things, but it's a gd headache and I hate calling people/places on the phone/dealing with the anxiety of walking in there. :death:

I like naked me better than clothed me. The curves make sense- clothing effs up those lines. This is why I wear dresses a lot- keeps the flow uninhibited/not chopped up. I'd wander around in a toga and cinched belt if I could but... I know I'm exercising right when it's less about the look/feel and more the feeling of it being an instrument, that I'm using every inch. Long strides on ice, a run that really gets into that sweet spot of stamina, rock climbing, fast/wild horseback riding, hauling/farmwork. Stuff where every muscle is engaged. I love that. I get so damn bored doing crunches or curls or what have you. Use it all or not at all. Take me snowboarding, bio, I wanna go! Was gonna say it. Figured someone else would say it. Well done.

I hear that! I try to send a card just saying hello in my horrible handwriting to a different friend each month, I know it's not a lot, but I know it gives people the warm fuzzies/keeps a long distance friendship strong. People save stuff like that, and come across it years later. I occasionally come across a postcard or xmas card I sent d4rk long before we dated (he always asked for one, and although I only knew him through parties, I'd send one- why not!) and it's neat to know he saved those things, usually by sticking them in a book. I pretty much never receive those things myself, but when I do, they either go on a wall, the fridge, or in a folder for safekeeping. I love getting personal mail.

Hey, to each their own. I find Jorah attractive, too. He was bear-ier in my mind in the book, though. More like this season's Mountain but more chiseled. Tywin- handsome in a regal, evil way. My favorite was Khal Drogo but he dead, yo. Oberyn's actor just had a wicked smile that I liked.

This bugs me too. Also, I may be mistaken, but wasn't Missandei supposed to be a little girl? I know Dany is younger in the books as well, and I understand them aging her up for TV. I'll admit, Missandei is the most beautiful woman in the show to me so far, but really... get rid of this love triangle. Please. I'm just mad that the only eye candy left for me had his skull smashed.
