I would hope they are laughing at our GM and respect the "little one" for making it to the NHL on at best, an average team. He is a career AHL player. He is a Jody Gage at best. That's all. Until we get past guys like him in our NHL line-up, we will continue to be mediocre. Still falling in love with mediocre or substandard players is a fan's right. Too bad our GM does it too!

I love your optimism, but not your math or logic. We don't play in a vacuum. Other teams play and win or get a loser point. Check it out: http://www.sportsclu...Buffalo.htmlFor This team isn't good. Don't get swept up by yesterday. Pitt took us lightly after the first minute, put it on cruise control, then flipped the switch to win. That is waht superior talent allows you to do in the regular season. Besides, Pitt doesn't put physical pressure on the opposing D, which plays into our soft team's makeup. Despite that, we still made way too may poor passes.

I like your optimism, but I'm more concerned about everygame being a potential 3 point game. Hate it when two teams ahead of us go to overtime. Obviously with all games in conference, these games exist in multiples every night. Again, I'd have to leave this to the stats guys to figure, but could the potential of all these games in conference inflate points needed from a normal season? I'm having touble wrapping my head around that concept.

13 points in 16 games, 42 points in 32 games Big task and BIG improvement Not likely.

Or, does Boston tend to take us lightly during the regular season?

Or the GM'S mistakes?

+1 Today was a good match-up for us. They were as soft physically on our D as any team I've watched live in town this year. That helps us. But, with their superstars, they just are better in a more wide open game. Will be curious to see how Pitt does in the playoffs against good defensive teams. NJ swept them last weekend for a reason. Still, it was a great game to watch as far as skating and effort. Crappy result

http://www.buffalone...TS/130219293Not Not a bad article today by Bucky. Pretty much facts, so you can't go too hard in a persnal vendetta against him. I've stated elsewhere that not playing the west hurts this team. That was an inference on my part, but he substantiates it. He leaves out one of the worst problems when we are behind so many teams: Anytime teams ahead of us in the standings play one another, there is the possibliity of a three point game!

Thanks. I'll check it out.

I have read the same Patterson, Sandford and Child as you. Have to read technical for work, so love light, action reading at home. The Sandford Virgil Flowers series is as good as his Prey series. His Kidd series is okay and am currently on the fourth of that series.. Daniel Silva's Gabbriel Allon series very good and made me explore some middle east history. My favorite of this genre is Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series.

Anything more than a 7th would be a waste. Washed up. We need to draft those types, not over pay for guys on the downside of their careers.( Regher, Rivet)

Hey, I'm cool. I can laugh at myself.

Not a problem. Should have told me the first time. Correct me on names anytime. Spelling, especially names is not my best attribute. I often go out on the web to get them right. Not reading the thread makes me an a**. And yes NEO, I know you are is you're. I'd like to say I did it on purpose but just doing too much at once. (That was good NEO, and I'm not being a smart a**.)

Okay. Myers. Your right. Doesn't excuse my ignorance of the spelling. Thanks for pointing it out, and I sincerely mean that.

Went back and I did it twice. Dumb on my part.

I'm sure it was, but I couldn't resist.

I think once. My bad and I stand corrected. I should know better and I no excuse for not looking at the top of the page, obviously Rob. LOL

Hasek in his prime. Hell, he covered Ruff's problems for a couple of years.

Don't let reality get in the way. You're way to negative.--LOL
