If anybody actually thought this about the Bills before making that trade they should've been fired. Especially about the WR position where they were a year removed from a franchise-record three consecutive 1,000 yard seasons from Stevie Johnson. Because I know it's coming: NO, I'm not saying the Bills didn't need a WR and NO, I'm not saying Stevie is/was better than Sammy. The opposite of both is true.

I agree. There is no hindsight. It was a bad move from the start. I was excited because trades are exciting, but it didn't make sense at the time.

No. The idea is that they would've been able to draft one where they stood or in the second which would nullify the argument you mentioned above. Also, Watkins is part of the reason they have a depleted group. He's had injury issues his entire career... Another pick may not have had the same injury issues. The trade was terrible... We're approaching the territory where you wouldn't be wrong in questioning if the pick was bad, too.

Kane responds with this tweet: Glad we could " BUST" out a win tonight.

What are we missing in Pysyk? Fans and analysts love him but he consistently gets treated like a marginal player by the team.

This is obnoxiously stated. Please excuse yourself from the forum and light yourself on fire. Thank you.

You're both pretty alone on this...

Just saw a shot of a guy wearing a Zadorov London Knights jersey. Poor guy.

FINALLY Kane gets a goal.

NBC Sports PR @NBCSportsPR "This guy shows some Mario Lemieux (skill). It's scary to say, but he's got that type of skill." - Keith Jones on @BuffaloSabres Jack Eichel

Is it just me or are the Sabres running into each other a lot/

Kane passes when he should've shot which is pretty much like Snoop Dogg passing up a joint.

Bobby Sanguinetti waived (per Bob McKenzie) and Allan McPherson called up from Elmira (per the team).

This is my feeling, too. His physicality has little to no impact on the game.
-
On the first point: I have no idea what Weber brings to the table aside from occasional physicality. He's incapable with and without the puck offensively and his defense isn't consistent. I agree on Franson, though. You take the bad with the good for a guy like him... He needs to build some confidence it seems. If McCabe sits over Weber I would be disappointed. Weber has stuck around far too long. I have liked what I've seen from McCabe so far. Especially paired with Pysyk. On the second: did not know that. I shouldn't be surprised but good stat to know.

They'll finish 25th and end up with the second overall pick again. Jakob Chychrun becomes a Sabres great as a top-pairing dman on multiple champions.

I was a little curious to see where the standings were at this time last year to see how much we can get from the first two weeks (just under). Fourteen of the sixteen playoff teams held a playoff spot at this point last season (Blue Jackets over Rangers, Kings and Sharks over Blues and Jets). Three of the bottom five teams in the standings finished in the bottom five (the Rangers and Avs were the two that didn't). The year before: Eleven of the sixteen playoff teams held a spot. Two of the bottom five teams in the standings finished there (two of the other three made the playoffs).

Cleveland's logo looks like something out of one of those classic propaganda ads where they try to make a certain racial group look like a bunch of pedophiles. I also think their name should change because it doesn't even represent what they think it does. I do not believe "Braves" or "Warriors" are names that should be changed, though. Anyways, go Bills... The stupidest non-offensive name is all of sports.

I assumed this was the case based on your original comment but wasn't sure how exactly you felt or why. Interesting perspective from probably the only fan of the team on this board. To be completely honest I've only ever spoken directly with one native about the issue -- they said they think it's kind of cool but believe it should be changed because they see and understand why so many others feel differently. They disliked Chief Wahoo more but think that Native American mascots should only be in place if it's a specific tribe and it's approve by that tribe.
