  1. I swear, you could build the perfect human if they followed the advice given on these forums. :w00t:
  2. But you don't get to choose the size of the jersey which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
  3. With Pittsburgh getting Big Ben back next week and the Dolphins having some new energy with a new coach we'll see how long that lasts.
  4. A quick update on some guys: Victor Olofsson is doing very well for MODO so far this year with 3-7-10 in 13 games. Leads the team in points and assists. Second in goals. Hudson Fasching has 3-1-4 in five games for Minnesota (all four points have come in the last two games). Good start for him. Connor Hurley has an assist in four games with Notre Dame. Judd Peterson has 5-1-6 in six games with St. Cloud State. Jean Dupuy has four assists in seven games for Rochester. Nick Baptiste has a goal and an assist in seven games for Rochester. Justin Bailey has two assists in seven games for Rochester. Vaclav Karabacek has 4-1-5 in 11 games for Baie-Comeau in the QMJHL. Gustav Possler has 3-3-6 in 13 games for MODO. Brendan Guhle has 1-4-5 in six games for Prince Albert (WHL). Brycen Martin has 2-8-10 in 12 games for Saskatoon (WHL).
  5. You're correct. Fans (myself including) do get caught up in the opponents a lot, but it's hard not to when you're team has been so bad for so long. It gets compounded when you see that they haven't won a game they shouldn't yet this season. Losing to the bad opponents just means you'll have to step up against the tougher opponents to get to the playoffs. Right now I see no reason to expect the Bills are capable of doing that. If this team misses the playoffs I see no reason Whaley should keep his job.
  6. Looking at their schedule: Beat the Colts. At the time this looked huge, but the Colts aren't nearly on the level we thought they were. Won a game they should have. Lost to the Patriots. Fair. Patriots >>>>>>>>> Bills Beat the Dolphins. The Fins were in shambles at the time and ended up firing their coach a few weeks later. Lost to the Giants. Not a game they should be losing if they want to be a playoff contender. Not a terrible loss but it was a toss up game and they came up short. Beat the Titans. BARELY got by a bad team. A win is a win. Lost to the Bengals. Fair. Bengals >>>>>>> Bills Lost to the Jaguars. WHAT THE HELL!? THE JAGUARS!? THEIR OWNER IS MARIO! So a brutal loss, a loss they probably "should" win if they want to be in the playoffs and then everything else fell into place as it can be expected to. No stolen games.
  7. Tyrod's injury wasn't tied to his stature but it was tied to his style of play. That's what worries me. He can't be relied on if the injury lingers or his play suffers. McCoy is coming around but I'm not ready to label him as a season-long bright spot to this point. Looking at individuals/position groups there isn't much to get excited about as far as performance goes. There's definitely some talent but not a lot of production. 3-4 is a HUGE disappointment. About as bad as they could be right now considering their opponents.
  8. A TON of love for him. That's why I said Gilmore is part of the lone bright spot. The cornerback tandem.
  9. Well the defensive line hasn't been a bright spot. The linebackers have been solid but nothing to write home about. The offensive skill positions have seen injuries and poor play for the most part aside from Charles Clay. The offensive line has been questionable. Tyrod Taylor has been solid but the injury is worrisome for a guy like him. Colton Schmidt has been a bright spot. So the punter and the corners? :p (Don't freak out, I'm mostly kidding)
  10. Sammy Watkins, 2014 and 2015 first round pick, was out. EJ Manuel, 2013 first round pick, was terrible. Stephon Gilmore, 2012 first round pick, is awesome and part of the loan bright spot for this team.
  11. I think you're way off here. Hughes didn't move until the moment before the whistles were blown. The zero was there for almost a second before he jumped. He was even pointing at the clock before he jumped. It was intentional all the way.
  12. Must-watch on stuff like this: Obama needs to levy an Executive Order stopping taxpayer money for stadiums. My ideas: limit the percentage and total $$$ a team can get from the public, require them to open their books if they're requesting taxpayer money, require votes for approval and require some revenues to go towards repaying the tax breaks given. ^^^ Beat me to it. Link above.
  13. Meanwhile Ryan Tannehill bounces back with a near perfect performance against Houston. 18-for-19, 282 yards and 4 TDs. Perfect QB raiting (a stupid stat but still impressive). He also just broke the NFL for the most consecutive completions (25). Yeap. A rare heady play from Hughes.
  14. Nice. Bills fans: get to know Connor Cook, Jared Goff and Paxton Lynch.
  15. I don't think that pass interference call was as bad as everybody wants to say it was. It wasn't PI, but it looked like an obvious PI live. The ref gets one chance to see a play. There was more contact than the TV reviews showed because Walters' body isn't just going to change directions mid-air without help. It was a bad call. It didn't cost the Bills the game.
  16. I felt similar coming to the end there.
  17. This is the only team in the NFL that doesn't win this game. The Bills got lucky.
  18. My uncle just brought up a great point: why are blocks in the back even illegal? Maybe today because they want to avoid blindside hits. How about maybe making it legal to block in the back using your hands/arms but not your body.
  19. Pegula has had two reasonable opportunities to fire a coach mid season and he did it both times (Lindy and Rolston). The Bills have only had Marrone and, despite the frustrations, still had a chance at the playoffs throughout last season. With that said: it would be stupid to fire Rex. Unless they lose out there's no way you fire Rex. At least two seasons.
  20. A lot of planes get lost over the Atlantic Ocean.
  21. I'm sure the coaches got a full explanation. The refs always talk to captains and/or coaches after reviews. I also doubt a coach can or would challenge a play that was already reviewed. The officials aren't going to change a call they made after just watching it and reviewing it.
  22. That's not a TD. EDIT: Maybe it is. Woods has small feet.
  23. Sick - As I said in another thread, you can't have aces in every position. Long term they have (just throwing players together, not forming lines): Kane - Eichel - XXX Ennis - O'Reilly - Reinhart Foligno - Girgensons XXX Deslauriers - Larsson - XXX XXX - Risto XXX - Bogo McCabe - Pysyk Lehner - XXX Guys in the system that could fill some holes: Baptiste (RW), Bailey (RW), Fasching (RW), Olofsson (RW), Guhle (D), Florentino (D), Martin (D), Ullmark (G), Makarov (G) Obviously there are some injury question marks (mainly just Bogo and Kane) and a few that are still somewhat of talent question marks (McCabe, Larsson)... But that's a great start. The team still has extra draft picks and a ton of money to spend. The great teams didn't put it all together at once. This team still has a ton of time to piece together a full roster of players. They're still set up well to pay the guys they have while filling holes with younger players on cheaper contracts.
  24. No way. EJ Manuel is trash.
  25. One of you is right. And the other... Is also right.
