The Bogo return, if it ever happens, will be interesting. My gut tells me Colaiacovo goes down. My brain tells me Weber should (wouldn't be shocked to see a team claim him on waivers). If Murray knows ahead of time that Bogo will be returning for sure he should shop whichever vet he plans to send down. You're not going to get much (if anything), but it's worth that rather than waiving them.

I'm on board with this. It's always interesting to see fans of teams losing in the postseason bend over backwards to blame their own team instead of saying the other team was just better or won on their own merit. I imagine I'd be the same way. Heck, I do it when teams I hate are winning. The Royals have won this series so far... The Mets haven't lost it.

Basically it's an efficiency rating that uses context and a league average. I find it to be a pretty reliable stat. In 2014 the top 16 teams in overall DVOA were 8-8 or better. The bottom 16 had only two teams with winning records. Every playoff team except for the Carolina Panthers (who finished 7-8-1) and Arizona Cardinals was in the top half of overall DVOA last season. The bottom five teams in DVOA last year were the bottom five teams in the league. Five of the top six teams in DVOA last year were the top five teams in the league.

Morally I do not find falsely accusing somebody as rape nearly as serious as raping somebody. Not even a little bit. And I think falsely accusing people of rape (and other crimes) is heinous and inexcusable.

I agree. So you want the punishment for falsely accusing somebody of rape to be equal to somebody actually committing rape? Serious question, because it seems to heinous to be an actual position to hold. I think I'm just misreading.

Due process and filing a false report do just that. I'm not sure what more you and Freeman want. In certain cases it's appropriate (I laid out a few above such as witnesses or the alleged attacker having a solid alibi). In this case it wouldn't make sense. There's no way to prove it definitively didn't happen if they entered a separate room alone.

False reporting happens. But I'm sure if somebody watches the news at 11 p.m. and sees "person arrested for falsely accusing" then gets raped that's going to be on their mind. I just don't think making it something that consistently happens in cases where it'd be next to impossible to improve without a confession is a good idea. At all. This is an example of a case such as that.

Also, there are already laws against false reporting. And it happens. Making it "mainstream" to go after women because you didn't feel there was enough evidence of rape is bad, though. Even with NO evidence of rape it's a bad idea IMHO. You could "prove" it if the alleged attacker wasn't at a time or place or with witnesses. But in a case where two individuals entered a room alone you're not getting a conviction. I'm not lawyer, but this just seems like common sense.

I didn't. It simply doesn't matter. The only way you can prove knowingly false is with a confession which you won't get. Otherwise all the woman/man has to say is "I think he/she raped me" and it's impossible to prosecute without a doubt. It'd be a waste of time, money and further hinder victims coming forward. The IDEA is good on its face, but the idea falls on its face. That's why there's the option of a civil suit. If Kane wants to file a civil suit he can do it.
