Sabres don't have any true leaders. They have some good talent (9, 23, 53, 26), but no true leaders that will "ensure" accountability and not just talk about it. Too many passive personalities on this team that are interested in winning but not committed. Is anyone scared to disappoint Eichel like they were to disappoint Foligno or Schoeny? Do the players respect Sam like they did Drury or Gare? The best teams are not all players "getting along." There needs to be some "WTF, man" in the room to add the extra drive to be the best.

As always, I'm looking forward to the game. Dahlin is worth watching all the time, I want to see what Olofsson's got and want to see if Borgen can bring a second solid game. Go Sabres!!

I'd rather see Wilson in for Sobotka. I guess PH is expecting a lot of left dot faceoffs tonight.
-
If he scores 2 or more goals while up, I will be pissed that they didn't bring him up sooner.
-
Sabres have exceeded their Casey quota.
-
I'll use the Sobotka Litmus Test. If Jbot mandated to PH that he play Sobotka, then I fire Jbot. If PH played Sobotka on his on volition with no interference from Jbot, I fire Phil.

I think Terry sees the Bills on the upswing with Beane and McDermott and thinks Jbot and Housley will eventually perform the same way. Problem is McDermott had both his teams overachieve given the talent on hand, PH has not. Plus, McDermott and Beane had a prior relationship in Carolina. Jbot and PH did not. I give Jbot a pass on hiring PH as his first coach. PH was dubbed as an up-and-comer. But as history has shown over the years, the best players don't necessarily make the best coaches. I think Taylor in Rochester would be a better fit with Jbot and could at least display some semblance of continuity. I'm not saying Taylor is the best candidate because I don't know who is available. But I do feel PH has lost the team and the fan base. I'm not willing to retool players for another year with PH at the helm only to find out it was poor coaching all along. That puts us back ANOTHER year.

He has been since day one. Makes me want to go into the fracking business. How hard can it be?

No reason for firing today. He's not a good head coach, not many men are. However, he is an alumni and a seemingly decent guy. No need to embarrass him more than his team already has. I'm sure he feels the failure of his team more than we do. Let him finish the season.

Drinking game with PH presser. Drink when he says "checking detail."
-
Fitting metaphor for this season.

Borgen - Only Sabres defenceman without a negative plus/minus this game.
-
I thought the Sabres had 2 untouchables. I believe they now have 1. Number 26.

A competitive National Hockey League team.
-
Maybe even Seattle. OUCH!
-
Over achievers.
-
It was easier building a team when I was Assistant GM.
-
He needs to go drill another well.
-
"Dahlin took his man out at center ice." Now that would be the most entertaining moment of the game.

Mercy Rule?

All Sabres shots have no one in front. They need to charge the net like when they bring out the crab legs at the Golden Corral Buffet.
-
They're my boys through thick and thin. I still look forward to each game and expect to win sorta like Charlie Brown never thinking Lucy's going to pull the football away when he's just about to kick it.

The Sabres aren't mailing this one in. They are FedEx'ing it in, next morning by 10:30am with delivery confirmation.

I have to say Borgen looks out of place tonight. He's actually good.
