  1. Refs putting their whistles away in the 3rd period to not affect the outcome of the game are affecting the outcome of the game. Tonight was a case in point.
  2. Thanks. You just made me feel older.
  3. Yeah, Bruins, cry me a river.
  4. Geez, I must be old. When I saw Pantera, I thought of Tim Horton driving one on that fateful night.
  5. Unfortunately, I got the reference right away. Thanks!
  6. What a fantastic transformation! You've earned that beer on the deck. Enjoy.
  7. Actually, the Bruins are owned by Jeremy Jacobs, a life long Buffalo guy. He must get a lot of pissed off looks from his neighbors.
  8. He's got the Sather connection, but is that a good thing or bad thing in Edmonton?
  9. NEW YORK (AP) -- Jim Schoenfeld has resigned as vice president and assistant general manager of the New York Rangers. Maybe gonna open a Timmy Ho's???
  10. Any interest in Lindy as an assistant? Safety valve if one or both of JBOT or HCRK flame out.
  11. The Wrecking Kru (stole it from The Longest Yard.)
  12. The Lindy era begins!
  13. Didn't Rick Dudley have a go at it for a while?
  14. So JBOT just hired his own future boss. Interesting.
  15. Schoeny (brief tenure, only stopped for a cup of coffee and a donut)
  16. Guess he's had his fill with Skype.
  17. I put this on the player, not the NHL. If Pegula pays me millions, I owe it to him to be able to play for the Sabres and not get injured in a summer tournament.
  18. Hey, players aren't the only ones that have to stay in shape in the off season.?
  19. These type of shoulder injuries are quite common when you have to carry a 215 pound Ristolainen on your back.
  20. Rest in Peace Pancho.
  21. 100% agree. These tournaments are entertaining but if I were a player like Jack, I would decline to go. Jack makes $10 million a year to play for the Sabres. He is set for life, as will be his kids and grand kids. His first loyalty is to the Sabres and the Pegulas. If he goes to the tournament and gets another high ankle sprain (or worse) and misses a few months of the regular season, and the Sabres miss the playoffs AGAIN, what is the justification? I'm surprised that there is not some clause in his contracts that prohibits his participating in tournaments like this. Most contracts prohibit dangerous activities (e.g. motorcycles, skydiving), why not this? I know I'm in the minority here, but if I owned the Sabres, it would be negligent of me not to protect my most expensive asset as best as I could.
  22. We're from Buffalo. We live on Lake Erie Gardless.
  23. Botterill couldn't hold Martin's Jacques.
