  1. LW: Nylander, Bailey. Hope they develop quickly.
  2. Looks pretty good. My concern is that some teams might take away our lunch money (the forwards are not very intimidating and no protection). I know the league is going to speed and fighting is less and less a factor, but still. Pittsburgh signed Reaves for a reason. We old timers remember when speed lost to Philly brawn in the 74-75 Cup finals.
  3. OneBuffalo - We ALWAYS win the offseason.
  4. Got it, and that's what I was concerned about in my initial post. Next year, if it's not Pouliot and Kane leaves, who plays LW?
  5. OK, now you're messing with me. Talking about Kane's extension and now trying to figure out how to put the pole in.
  6. Sabres are going to have to figure out a way to make Moulsonade.
  7. Sorry, I stole this list from Vogl's TBN article this morning and he listed Bailey as a LW. Still not sure Pouliot is a long term answer.
  8. This is the teams current LW depth: Evander Kane Matt Moulson Benoit Pouliot Justin Bailey Nicolas Deslauriers C.J. Smith Alex Nylander Even with Kane, that looks to be bottom quarter of the league. I think Kane has to stay this year. Moving a center (ROR, E-Rod, Girgs, Larsson) to play wing is not the answer. Next year without Kane and Pouliot, I guess Nylander and Bailey are 1 and 2, and we still have Moulson at 3. JBOT's got some work to do here.
  9. Not sure I'd go that high, more like 2 years 6 mil, but he is worth a few shootout wins. Sooner or later, we're going to need to find out what Fasching, Bailey, and Baptiste have got.
  10. Jordan Weal re-signs with Philly, 2 years, $3.5mil.
  11. Sure would make the Amerks fun to watch (maybe more so than the big club).
  12. How dumb would EXGMTM have to be to do that. What did he think would happen? And if he had a morals clause in his contract, that may have triggered it. Even if it didn't, TP has enough money to litigate this for years and see EXGMTM bankrupt himself trying to fight it. That's why I'm skeptical that this happened.
  13. Agree. Especially when the Sabres have players in the lineup who can finish Jack's passes.
  14. Do a bridge deal for Sam, not Jack. Go all 8. Jack's a sure thing and salaries are only going to rise.
  15. To me it would. I'd hold firm to 8 years. If the cap stays the same or goes down in the next 5 years, Jack would still be looking for a raise and that would eat more team cap space percentagewise.
  16. Too bad we didn't get him. I'd like a team with Foo, Pu, and Beaulieu.
  17. Connolly re-signed with the Caps for 2 years, $3 mil.
  18. Agree. And really like using "Dennis Widemaning" as a verb.
  19. That's tugh t cmprehen.
  20. I was thinking Deslauriers was worst as well. Any value to moving Deslauriers back to defense (7th or 8th d-man) full time and letting Housley work with him. He's pretty mobile and brings some toughness that the Sabres will miss without him. And cheap as well.
  21. So does NHL.com
  22. Never worked for Paul Cyr.
  23. Rumors are they are in for Shattenkirk. Keith Shattenkirk Seabrook. Not a bad top 3.
