  1. Under/over. First Rob Rayism. 10 minute mark of the 1st period.
  2. Logistics question on Dareus. They sent him home. Did he have to fly commercial to get home, or do they let him ride on the team plane back?
  3. 31 Steve Shields 32 Razor 33 Hogue 34 Chris Butler 35 Noronen 36 Kaleta 37 Ellis 38 Paetsch 39 Hasek 40 Lehner
  4. REW STAFFoR No D, little O.
  5. October: Start slow, under .500. Jack feeling the pressure of $10 million and being Captain. Tries to do too much. Lehner is average, Chad outplays him in his only start. Pominville leading goals scorer. Risto leads in points. Sabres only team to not have a fighting major in October. November: Team shows some hope. Gets to .500 by end of month. Defense better but still not scoring enough. Jack gets in a grove. Lehner still average. Chad gets more games and impresses. PP is cold. Some games are very entertaining (best in years) followed by duds. Fasching a pleasant surprise with 5 goals YTD.
  6. 26 - Vanek 27 - Playfair 28 - Sauve 29 - Mal Davis 30 - Miller
  7. I see what you did there (we'll actually someone told me.)
  8. Not to worry: From eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety and NASA. "Looking directly at the Sun is unsafe except during the brief total phase of a solar eclipse (“totality”), when the Moon entirely blocks the Sun’s bright face, which will happen only within the narrow path of totality." Lincoln, NE was in the path of totality for 1 minute and 24 seconds. Like I said, only good thing to happen in Lincoln, NE. My eyes are fine today. Thanks for the concern!
  9. Perfect for watching the Bills.
  10. OK, I stand corrected. Must not have had the names spelled on the back of the jerseys way back then. ;)
  11. Lincoln, NE. Total coverage. Stared right at it for 1 minute and 30 seconds with no eye protection. More impressive than I thought it would be. Only good thing ever about living in Nebraska.
  12. 25 Lorenz??? You mean Jim Lorentz? If so, not sure he ever wore 25.
  13. Me too. What he said ... Funny how that worked out. Must be from the same era. 21. 'Spinner' Spencer 22. Ruff 23. Carriere 24. Hajt 25. Andreychuk
  14. 16. Ric Seiling 17. Mike Foligno 18. Danny Gare 19. Derek Smith 20. Don Luce
  15. 11: 12: Sean McKenna 13: Yuri Khmylev 14: Rene Robert 15: Gerry Meehan Thought about Schoenfeld for #13 during his 2nd stint with the Sabres but I prefer to remember him in his #6 years.
  16. 1 Roger Crozier 2 Tim Horton 3. Mike Robitaille 4. John Van Boxmeer 5. Mike Ramsey Obviously, I've been around a while ;).
  17. Not a shock considering what he's been through. I feel bad for TM. RIP.
  18. I'm not convinced the cap will rise next year. Tennyson & Rodrigues are on 1-ways next year so that's another $1.3 regardless. I'm not saying it can't be done, but it will be interesting. And my premise was trusting a lot of youngsters making the team (5 which you have making the leap, Nylander, Guhle, Baptiste, Bailey, Fasching, 6 if you count Antipin.) And Pouliot turning it around. Again, it can be done, but it will be interesting.
  19. I should have given an example. Next years' cap with Kane and Lehner signings. That's already over the cap. JBOTs got work to do. 2018-19 Eichel, Jack 10,000,000 O'Reilly, Ryan 7,500,000 Okposo, Kyle 6,000,000 Kane, Evander 6,000,000 Pominville, Jason 5,600,000 Moulson, Matt 5,000,000 Reinhart, Sam 3,900,000 Larsson, Johan 1,475,000 Girgensons, Zemgus 1,000,000 Young Guy 750,000 Young Guy 750,000 Young Guy 750,000 Young Guy 750,000 Young Guy 750,000 14 Ristolainen, Rasmus 5,400,000 Bogosian, Zach 5,142,857 Scandella, Marco 4,000,000 McCabe, Jake 1,600,000 Beaulieu, Nathan 2,200,000 Antipin, Victor 925,000 Tennyson, Matt 650,000 7 Lehner, Robin 5,000,000 Ullmark, Linus 775,000 2 75,917,857 23
  20. Does your $13 include the signings of Kane and Lehner? If not, it is tight. If Kane is resigned at $6 and Lehner is signed at $5. That gives them 2 million for 5 forwards and 1 d-man. No way.
  21. I know it's way too soon, but the 2018-2019 line up is going to be challenging CAP-wise. I know a lot can happen, but the team is at $64 mil this year. I figure Jack gets $10 mil and Sam gets retiring Georges money (3.9mil). That leaves them at $74 million (if the team signs all others at their 2018 levels, including Kane). If Beaulieu gets $1.5 and Girgs get $1mil this year and next, you can see it gets tight. The places to get relief are buyouts of Moulson, Pominville, and Bogo. Also goalie if Lehner flames out and they go with Ullmark and ?? next year. I may mean we have a ton of young players in the lineup next year. I'm sure JBOT is on it but it will be interesting and constraining at the same time.
  22. Enroth signs a one year deal to play in the KHL with the Dinamo Minsk.
  23. For us old timers, imagine what a Gilbert Perreault negotiation would look like in today's world. Gil at 21 years old.
  24. No doubt Kane is a natural goal scorer that the team desperately needs. I think the Sabres can offer everything Kane wants: Term Dollars Team on the rise I just hope he wants to spend his youth in Buffalo. I don't know him but everything I read says warm weather, cosmopolitan city, which he will have his choice.
  25. If Risto pots 15 this year, he will be in the top 3 for the Norris.
