  1. They should have, but you know, The Times - They Are a-Changin'.
  2. Fishing for the what, Rob?
  3. Interesting theory. I think RJ signed up for Rebuild Part 1, not sure he's up for what we now know is Rebuild Part 2.
  4. I'd start putting the bubble wrap on Kane. Would really suck if he got hurt before the Sabres could trade him (in a high demand, low supply year as noted above).
  5. Come' on Jacque, we all know that Reinhardt has no D.
  6. That's it right there. Lenny hasn't shown the ability to rise to the occasion. Can't imagine him doing so in Game 7. Just a question. Zemgus gets promoted to Jack's line and gets 2 goals in 3 games . Where's Sam's bump?
  7. Very True. I'm just saying that the team as constructed may benefit from a more disciplinarian coach e.g. (Hitchcock, Sutter, Keenan, Babcock, Torts) at this point. You need a strong coach to change the culture. Housley may have never had the necessity to change the culture in any team he took over. Now is not the time to be doing OJT.
  8. Guess coaches can't continue to evolve like say Bellichick. The game has really passed him by.
  9. An a hole with a Stanley Cup ring.
  10. I agree. I don't think we'd be in the same shape if Iron Mike Keenan was coach.
  11. That's the State Motto: Nebraska: "It's not a terrible place".
  12. I'm in flippin Nebraska (central time). Imagine living in Nebraska AND being a Sabres fan. I might as well live at the AA meeting site.
  13. Oh For Fu@$S Sake. It's funny, but when my wife hears me shout that, she knows the game is over and she can get dinner ready.
  14. Toronto reviews all close calls in real time. If they see a reviewable call, they tell the arena to blow the horn. Happened to us once before if I recall.
  15. Housley need to throw sticks at this point.
  16. Sizzling Sabres sniper Kyle Okpsoso put the Sabres in the lead. My tribute to Irv Weinstein.
  17. You can tell the effect of breeding. Nolan plays like his father (and the way his father coached his teams). Minimally skilled, tough as nails, and 100% every shift. I think the Sabres are reflective of Housley.
  18. Saw him sporting number 11 for Team USA. That will definitely need to change once he is a Sabre.
  19. Agree. With Sam, he's past the point of potential and expectations, and must be rated on performance. His performance is that of Holzinger.
  20. Ouch. Very sobering. I was a STH through the Holzinger years. Good comparison (not for Sam or Sabres fans though).
  21. Agree with all of this especially, "Trade him while you can get something for him." IMO, Sam is not going to turn into anything more than he is today. The risk is not him turning into Ovechkin if we trade him. The risk is holding on to him too long and he becomes little value to any other GM.
  22. My concern with Sam is his speed. He is noticeably slower than the competition (and his peers). EROD has 1/2 the skill of Sam but doesn't look as out of place. I think Sam is as fast as he is going to get, while the NHL will continue to get faster. Trade him a "year too soon" (and take the risk of him becoming a star) rather than waiting another year where others won't have come big at all.
  23. Never doubted that. Just wanted to make sure you got your props for the subtlety.
  24. Scene, nice. :flirt:
  25. Only change I'd make is Antipin for Beaulieu. Seems Housley has Antipin on a shorter leash than the other D-Men.
