  1. Agree with 2 and 3. To me, Reinhart was as unnoticeable as he has been all season.
  2. Sabres playing well in front of Ullmark. More than they have for either Chad or Robin all year.
  3. True. And he doesn't overplay the puck like #40.
  4. Jack is movin' tonight.
  5. In my post, I said I'd been saying this for 18 months (as have many of the posters on this board). What could the Sabres have gotten for him 18 months ago?? My point is/was, management failed to realize (or admit) that Sam was not going to be a top 6 on a good team (he's barely top 6 on this mess of a team). It's too late now. Everyone in the NHL knows he's JAG and now the return will be commensurate.
  6. IMO, and I've been expressing it for over 18 months, there is WAY too much Reinhart love, hope, patience, protection. He is what he has performed, a borderline 3rd line winger. He's not turning into Adam Oates (think more Joel Armia). Move on and get what you can for him.
  7. One thing. Give LEGITIMATE hope for next year.
  8. Actually, BOGO has set this up well. Since we all know his on-ice time is at best 25% of a season, the Sabres can LTIR him for 75% of his remaining 2 years . That means out of the $10 mil that is owed to BOGO (salary cap-wise) for the next 2 years, the Sabres are on the hook for only $2.5 mil. Build it in to the budget and and get an available d-man for $7.5 mil for the next 2 years.
  9. At this point Bitcoin >>>>>>> reinhart.
  10. Sung to the tune of the J. Geils Band.
  11. For arguments sake, let's just say there is a human with the dimension of 6' by 4'. With pads, this person would take up all the net and more. What would the NHL do then?? How much would that goalie earn??
  12. Like the chatter in the golf world about rolling the golf ball back to reduce it's carry, maybe the NHL needs to look at the puck. If the puck was redesigned to be more of the foam rubber puck that we all used in our early years, maybe the goalies would be less "scared" of injury and the NHL could get meaningful reductions to the size of the goalie equipment. If not, I can't see any alternative to increasing the size of the net (which I am not opposed).
  13. Amazing find! When I look at this Sumo, he doesn't look any bigger than any of the NHL goalies. And NHL goalies are not 350 pounds. Something doesn't make sense.
  14. Really, if you got a 600 pound man and put pads on him. how much of the net would be available. FFS, Ryan Miller was 165 pounds soakin' wet and he took up 3/4 of the net.
  15. Sumo wrestlers in pads???
  16. Saw that lacrosse commercial. The goalies are so big it's hard to believe there are any goals scored.
  17. Putting the Johnson in always sparks my mood.
  18. Mr. Botterill, you're on the clock.
  19. Amen, brother. At least entertain me if you lose.
  20. First Intermission. Time for my second Maker's Mark. Just another Sabres game.
  21. Jeez. Seriously.
  22. "I went to a Sabres game and a hockey game broke out!" Who could have predicted that?!
  23. Sabres sleepwalking through this one. Time for a fight to wake the boys up. Nolan??
  24. One of the few "feel good moments" of the season.
