  1. I don't want to be a Perreault defender, but when he took the puck behind the net, he had executed 2 Jack moves before he even reached the opposition blue line. I realize Gil was pre-trap, but he was indescribable. He could go side-to-side (about 12 feet) in one stride. I'm glad I was alive and there to see him. I haven't seen any player since that was even close to Perreault (Coffey was a distant second).
  2. Should make it easier for him to sneak behind the defense.
  3. Pommers to Casey, "See, what you did there is a penalty in a MAN'S league".
  4. Oh yeah, there's that too.
  5. No way Robin is back next year. He will not be the number 1 (Ullmark) and he sees himself as a number 1. I still think he goes back to Sweden.
  6. Yep. And if Larry had hands, he'd be my uncle. (To the tune of a "balls, aunt" joke.)
  7. I agree. Playing hard for Housley against his old team?
  8. And he's signed for Peanuts next year.
  9. One small edit.
  10. Savard did not retire until January of 2018. In fact, his contract was traded 2 times since his second concussion. The Bruins got the benefit of LTIR for the CAP and Savard still got paid (by the NHL insurance company I believe). Now, a doctor has to sign off on the fact that KO is not well, but if that's the case, KO gets paid, has no more health risk, and the Sabres don't have a CAP hit of $6 million for the next 5 years. A potential Win-Win-Win situation.
  11. Ala Ales Kotalik.
  12. Pommer had an OT winner a week ago, right?
  13. If this is Kyle's second concussion, any way the Sabres can "Marc Savard" him for the remainder of his contract. Kyle gets his money and gets to play with his kids and the Sabres get 5 years of cap relief.
  14. I thought it was speed kills, but I guess good kills as well.
  15. Both of those thoughts are something I can lean into. Feel the same way.
  16. P A T H E T I C "E F F O R T"
  17. Looks like I picked the wrong game to begin my new practice of, "if I don't have something positive to post, I won't post it." P. S. That new practice is now over. What a train wreck. I think I care more about winning than these "professionals" do.
  18. My thoughts on 2018-2019. This line up assumes players in the organization today. Hopefully, they will sign a couple of UFAs and maybe get Dahlin. Buy out Moulson and Pominville – It will eat up cap space for the next two years, but with the influx of young players the cap should not be a problem for two years. Let’s give the young ones the ice time. Re-sign 2 of the current UFAs (Nelson and Johnson). Nelson has been very good and is a right shot. Johnson can spell Ullmark in net. Girgensons/Larsson – Pick one and trade the other. Middlestadt is on the big club as is Nylander. Get rid of Bowl-loo. Your 2018 – 2019 Buffalo Sabres C. J. Smith Eichel Reinhart Nylander ROR Okposo O’Regan Middlestadt E-Rod Wilson Girgs/Larry Baptiste Scandella Nelson Guhle Risto McCabe Bogo Ullmark Johnson
  19. Not sure if Antipin is on the team next year, but I think he's the best pure passer on the team. His passes are always tape-to-tape.
  20. Really like the economic theory discussions on this board. Well done Taro.
  21. Nope. Just Loooooose for Huuuuuges. Nice ring to it.
  22. Casey Nelson Part II?
  23. Somewhere, Brad Park is doubled over in pain and I couldn't be happier.
  24. Puck jumped up just prior to the end of the period and got him in the neck/chin area. Didn't seem too bad.
