This team makes me want to watch the Bills-Packers game highlights.

Where's the entertainment? Where's the enthusiasm? I didn't expect a Stanley Cup but I did expect more than this.

Housley - (American). C - Jack (American). A- Bogo (American). A - Kyle (American). I know he's new to the team, but I would have strongly considered Berglund for an A. With the 4 Swedes on the roster, and more in the pipeline, along with his purported leadership skills, and he's under contract for 3 more years, I think it would have been a good move.

Not sure where to ask this and did not want to start a new thread. Matt Moulson is loaned to the Ontario Reign for the season. If the Kings get desperate and call him up, will his prorated cap hit as a King reduce the Sabres cap accordingly, or do the Sabres eat his full (albeit reduced) cap regardless?

I don't doubt you, Flagg, but could you expand on why this would not be considered tampering?

I really hope Robin continues on a positive path. I applaud JBOT for his compassion and concern. One question i do have is JBOT is in contact with Robin when he is the "property" of another team. Could this be construed as tampering?

There are really only 4 D-men that pose a waiver problem: 1. Ristolainen 2. Scandella 3. McCabe 4. Nelson All else are exempt or "effectively exempt" (if the Sabres waived Bogosian and/or Hunwick, the choosing team would be doing the Sabres a favor). So the decision to keep Bogo or Hunwick should be solely performance based because there is no risk of losing them. Now I don't know what that would do to the Vet/ELC proportion for the Amerks, but I'll leave that to JBOT and Sexton.

I like what Botterill has accomplished thus far and am looking forward to October. I do fear that the team lacks physicality. I know the league is more about speed, but who will have the players backs when push comes to shove (Risto?, Bogo?). At least last year there was Kane, Nolan, Gorges. Will the newly constructed Sabres be able to stand up to the bigger western conference teams?

I would really like the 2018 team to NOT have either Zemgus or Larsson. That would make me feel good that the culture is really changing. We know what they bring. It's time for giving some of the prospects a chance. Good luck for JBOT to get anything for either. Most teams could wait for them to be demoted and pick them up for nothing.

I'm going with Casey Nelson. He went from a throw in to a regular in one season. If he keeps a similar trajectory, I see him being on the second pair RD by seasons end.

I like this set up. With all the Swedes the Sabres have, it would send a good message and be more representative of the team (US born and Swedes). I could swap Okposo and go with Scandella. Then you have even closer representation with Canada, Sweden and US. Not just solely representative, I think these 3-4 guys are the leaders anyway. .
