  1. My all time favorite, Gilbert Perreault, was more of an assist man, but could certainly put the puck in the net. But he also had Rick Martin on his wing (and Rene on the other side). If Jack is Gilbert I have zero problem. However, I think it becomes more compelling that we retain Skinner or someone like Olofsson develops. A Perreault/Eichel needs a Martin/Skinner or (Lafontaine/Mogilny) to really accentuate his and the teams' performance.
  2. Always admire the proper use of a semi colon, Wild. Especially at this hour.
  3. I think that it's the Chicago/Los Angeles effect. When the team is close to the cup, GM's will do anything to keep their core together and win a Cup. That includes offering ridiculous contracts (Seabrook, Dustin Brown, etc.) with GM's knowing they will probably be gone when the stuff hits the fan or can rest on their laurels if they did win a cup or two early on. Maybe it's worth it. Would Sabres fan be pissed with one cup and salary cap jail for 10 years? Now, what Bergevin was thinking, I don't know. The Habs were not close and he gave Price that deal. As you say Wild, hilarious and why does Bergevin still have a job?
  4. If he develops into Adam Oates, are we OK with that? I mean an assist man, not really a goal scorer.
  5. I find Yahoo Sports to be the quickest. Usually about 5 minutes after the game, the win/loss is added.
  6. Do a little bit of the Risto celebration thing. That always helped me sleep.
  7. That was stupid good by Eichel.
  8. Seems like Mitts is always stick handling in a phone booth (for those of us who are old enough to remember phone booths)
  9. He was out there a shift or two ago. Seemed fine (and a little pissed).
  10. Should we call him MiDDlestaDt?
  11. Risto pushed Bergy off the ice like he was pushing a tire. Who said his off season training doesn't apply to the regular season?
  12. Look on the bright side, last year, that would have been a blessing.
  13. Maybe JBOTT told Tage that he'd give him a legitimate shot and NHL salary for a least 20 games (1/4 of the season). JBOTT just keeping his word?
  14. Not that Hutton played badly tonight, but I'd like to see more of Linus.
  15. Risto will never be a father because he can never keep it in.
  16. Wow. We're not the only team that can't hit the net.
  17. Reporter: "What do you think about your teams execution tonight?" John McKay: I'm all for it!
  18. Maybe this is what we can expect this year, 1 step forward and 1 step back. Next year better be 2 steps forward and 1 step back. Not that I'm giving up on tonight, though.
  19. Really Risto, reverse to Dahlin was the easy play.
