This guy gets it! I pray for Okposo’s health, because this guy could be very beloved by the fan base if he can stay on the ice.

Sabres sign Goalie Craig Anderson to One Year 750k Deal

Where’s Ennis?

I can only speak for myself, but my disappointment in Borgen getting selected was stemming more from the fact that he was being developed slowly (or properly, depending on your perspective), and I was curious how he would grow/mature into our d-corps. He's by no means a savior and losing him is not the end of the world, but our franchise must start developing and inserting these guys into our lineup to start improving over the long haul.

Dylan Cozens weeps in the corner.

Ranger fans are master gaslighters. They will have you believe the Rangers are doing the Sabres a favor for taking Eichel. Personally, I’m just not super high on the majority of their guys. Kakko is a big “meh”, and I can see him having a mostly mediocre career if not brought along with the right line mates. Lafreniere is really the only guy that moves the needle for me (outside Fox, Panarin).

The most disconcerting part of Dahlin's game is his inability to react quickly to a play from a decision making perspective. This, coupled with the short area explosiveness really puts Dahlin in a hole on many plays. Perhaps if he can "just play the game", this will improve. However, I'm concerned fans and scouts alike mischaracterized his slow processor with "calmness" in order to fit the "elite talent" narrative, and this flaw is more endemic to this natural game. This coming year is crucial for Dahlin.

I am asking you to take a guess dude, and this is all speculation anyway. Of course you don’t know, if you did we wouldn’t be speculating and dreaming up scenarios

Pretty underwhelming crop once you take those away. I think they don’t want to trade Shesterkin either. Very Blues-ish return if you ask me.
-
What would consider outbidding out of curiosity?
-
If the majority of media mocks and Ranger fan mocks ring true, I want nothing to do with a Ranger trade. Rangers would have to deal an “untouchable” to get me interested (Lafreniere, Fox) plus a goalie. I could care less about a collection of soft, middling prospects they have. Not interested in Kakko either. The fact they don’t have a center prospect to deal, throws cold water on their best offers as well.

Yeah, I agree. I'm higher on Turcotte than Byfield, but either one represents anything better than the Rangers could offer up, unless the Rangers were willing to part with Lafreniere/Fox (unlikely).

They just want to fleece Buffalo. They want him badly, but think if they personally downplay him, that will somehow effect what the Rangers give up.

Where do I sign?

Should this be our new goal song? Or maybe Lapti Nek? -
Totally agree. They have really impressed me with their tenacity. We have been missing this for far too long.

Stop that crazy talk man. We can't have nice things. -
25th Anniversary of the last Sabres game at 'The Aud': April 14, 1996

Do they even do "standing room" anymore? If I recall correctly, standing room was around the Oranges primarily, but there we spots in the Blues as well. I can still smell the Aud. So many memories! -
RK hands down the worst coach in Sabres history
DHawerchuk10 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Although nobody will confuse Dahlin's current defensive acumen with Mike Ramsey, his play is night and day different under Granato. I've had my doubts that coaching could be that much of a difference, but I'm slowly awakening to the fact that it does matter quite a bit. The fact that the Sabres are not only winning, but looking halfway competent without Eichel, Cozens, McCabe, and Hall is pretty impressive, and some credit must go to Granato. As others have said, having Ullmark back is probably a bigger reason, but still need to give some props to Granato. -
He plays the body in Part 2, and we are not even talking about this play. Even if he gets the puck cleanly there, the puck is leaving the zone based on momentum alone. Not sure what the heck Hall is doing on the back check. This is also abysmal.
-
I totally agree. He's not physically engaged, and tends to glue his eyes to the puck, all while not being able to react quick enough. This appears to be disturbingly pervasive throughout the lineup though. One would expect that given Dahlin's skillset, he could break out of this funk. The fact that he seems to be falling further and further into the abyss is quite vexing.
