  1. This is a total disaster
  2. Holy crap….Cozens! Are you hurt or something?!
  3. He's one of my all-time favorite Sabres! He proves that talent isn't only measured in goals and assists.
  4. I feel like part of me is gone
  5. Agree with all these, except I really liked Turgeon. But getting LaFontaine was a major coup. As others have noted, the Satan trade was an underrated highway robbery.
  6. My people are still saying to expect big things from Alexei Tezikov!
  7. Mr. Shooting Percentage himself.
  8. Hopefully the first thing we announce is the Dahlin extension.
  9. This is a top 5 kid. He slipped cause of size. Happy the Sabres avoiding that stupidity. Skill is skill.
  10. They are still selling all that stuff, and promoting special causes, just not wearing jerseys during warm-up.
  11. The Punch Up in Piestany is an incident from 1987 WJC. Long story short, Turgeon sat on the bench during the brawl.
  12. It’s debatable that Bure and Federov were better. Did you ever watch Mogilny at his peak? He was unstoppable. I even think Federov said Mogilny was better in an interview. Mike Vernon? Tom Barrasso? They should not be in over Mogilny. Thought Turgeon might be blackballed over “ Punch Up” fiasco.
  13. Hockey Guy is great!
  14. Yeah, in retrospect, those puppets were very strange.
  15. Let them laugh then. They are the ones trying to spin off their mediocrity. Hart is worth a roll of the dice, but nobody is giving up much. A high second rounder in a deep draft is more than adequate, with an average young goalie (UPL) going back.
  16. If I were Adams, I’d hang up the phone immediately and never do business with Briere ever again. That is a laughable request. I guess UPL, Bryson, and our second could secure us Jiricek +?
  17. Not trying to nitpick here, but adding to your point. How about the hitting of defensemen during the forecheck when the puck is gone during the "grace period"? I think this is a legitimate gray area where the Sabres need to pick up the aggression, especially if they make the playoffs. Finishing your check in this manner leads to turnovers galore, and is equally important as hitting somebody with the puck to get possession. Maybe Adams is equating these things, but by the way the Sabres play, I have my doubts. In '99, we employed this strategy against Ray Bourque to great effect. We pounded him into oblivion and he coughed up the puck fairly consistently cause he knew he was going to get punished repeatedly. Similarly, there is a highlight from '93 that illustrates this perfectly when Bourque saw May coming, panicked, and coughed it up to Mogilny for a goal.
  18. What a debacle. They are just standing around, watching. Skate, tie up a stick, take the body….do something.
  19. On the replay, looked like he was just shielding a defender. Still an odd choice.
  20. That’s true. St. Hyacinthe, Quebec if I’m not mistaken.
  21. I'd give them a chance. Fanatics gets a bit of a bum steer as they are chartered to make a cost sensitive replica jersey. Most of Fanatics garb I have is from a few years ago, so maybe the quality has gone down, but all my Fanatics branded T-shirts are comfortable and durable. I don't own any Fanatics breakaway jerseys though. There was a lot of teeth gnashing when Adidas took over a few years ago, but I found their jerseys to be the most comfortable, and best fitting when compared to previous manufacturers. The biggest gripe that I have with Adidas is that they didn't make their "MiC" true Authentics available to the general public, like CCM had done years ago with their Center Ice collection (not to be confused with the practice jerseys).
  22. On the positive side: Dahlin turned the corner into a stud, and Power has progressed nicely all year. I thought Power was going to be a Dahlin redux of sorts (put up good numbers, but be god awful in his own zone). Offense is more dynamic than I thought it would be On the negative side: Really thought Mittelstadt was going to have 2021-22 Tage Thompson type year. Team defense is very lackluster and is still committing multiple sins (not getting the puck deep, forwards missing assignments, watching the puck instead of taking the body, etc.) that plagued them last year.
  23. This is a disgrace. We are fanning on everything, reaching for pucks, and wandering around the zone like a bunch of Mites. Take the freaking body!
