That's not true at all with kickers...they are one of the most replaced positions in the NFL. Even with relatively established players. Miss a few game winning kicks in a row or have a few bad games and there is a good chance they replace you. Some teams are going through 3-4 kickers a year because they just keep not performing well. The standard of kicking is so high nowadays that you almost have to be at your best every game. 55 yard kicks that were an expected 10% or less chance of making it 10-15 years ago are now considered routine kicks and they are looked at strangely when they miss. Best position for a long career with little competition is long snapper. Unique skill set that takes a long time to practice to do well at and hone, and not much competition. Those dudes can play 15 years easy, especially with all the protections they have gotten over the last several years with the rule changes.

The NHL is the only league where a 1st round pick can be a 3rd line player and teams will be thrilled with it. Imagine the Bills drafting a guy in the first round at 27 this year and they would be happy if he ended up being a decent backup and special teamer.

The one the BareNaked Ladies sang about 😂

I prefer Brian Wilson

Same one as he has had the past few months. Pest that gets under other teams skin and who can move around as needed on lines but who typically plays on an energy line and adds some skill.

Ralph punished him because he wasn't a defensive player...he literally was trying to win games 1-0 at times, the team was so boring and defensive it was sickening. Skinner couldn't fit his "vision" so he quickly found himself in the doghouse which progressively got worse and worse. I think they want to reward actual hockey and not pond hockey.

He did a very good job, but he simply isn't Tage. Not many people are tho.

No way they do a bridge deal unless Power insists on it.

Well, hopefully Johnson isn't sitting on a team with 70 points for 5 years while the Sabres are perennial contenders coming up soon...
-
Knew that was coming after new ownership took over. Especially with missing the playoffs for the first time in forever.

And he still had 9 points every month and nearly 60 on the season. His previous high was 25. More than doubled it this year. What's your point?
-
He has had 9 points every month since January, now 11 in April. Seems like your memory is short too.

He isn't going anywhere. Keep crying next year. I mean what a concept...a player who just turned 24 took a little longer to develop and figure out his role on the team and what he needs to do to be productive in the NHL. We talk about developing players and then when they do it, we complain that it took them too long and they still suck. SMFH. Middlestadt is turning into this teams version of Joechen Hecht. Better passer not as good of a goal scorer.

If by one month, you mean the last four months then sure...prior to tonight's game he had 9 points in January, February, March and April. Now he has 11 points in April. He has been very consistent with point production this year. Let's stop with the trying to pull sh!t out of your ass to discredit it that isn't based in reality.

It would be awesome to see the Sabres pick up at least a point tomorrow and hit 90 for the year for the first time since 2010-2011 season when this got 96.

Hahahaha...guess who??? 😂😂😂@Contempt must be crying right now
