Shootouts are the problem not breakaways...he actually is OK when they happen in the course of a game, makinng his fair share of stops...which frustrates you even more as to why he can't do it during a shootout

Yeah there is no doubt this team underperformed quite a bit last year

And both are likely a lot better in the shootouts than Lehner who has the lowest career save percentage of any goalie in the shootout. He alone cost us a bunch of points last year by allowing everyone to score in shootouts. With our goalie coach? Yeah. When is the last time a goalie didn't play out of his mind under Allen's tutelage?

Those players are all going to play lots of minutes in Rochester to get more seasoning than to come up and sit around playing 5 minutes a night on the 4th line. What good will that do them? Either put them on a top line or keep them down there.

And lets not forget Ennis was productive at a time when his speed really made him stand out...now he is simply just like half the other forwards when it comes to speed...the rest of the league has caught up to him, and his other skills don't help his productivity

BOGO has been nothing but a disappointment. I'd rather giev Antipin the shot there versus a guy I already know can't handle it and will be terrible at it. You are acting like Antipin played in juniors or something...you realize most of these Russians coming over from the KHL step right in an perform prety well right? The guy has been representing Russia in the Worlds for heaven's sake...I'm pretty sure he must be pretty good considering the amount of talent Russia has...

This is such bullcrap the NHL allows it to happen. The player should be forced to sign with the team that drafted him once they turn pro or have to sit out a year as a penalty. As it is now there is no penalty only a reward for players to do this,so why wouldn't they? I mean this basically allows the players to gain a benefit of being a free agent and going wherever they want if they decide to stay in college long enough. How is that benefitting the NHL? It's a clear circumvention of the intent of the rule and it needs to be fixed. Change that has the rights of an NHL player for 30 days once they leave college to one year once they leave college and you'll fix this bullcrap.
