Dahlin has incredible speed and silky smooth moves...he looks like Eichel skating through people except he is a defensemen..he kind of reminds me of Phil Housley a litle bit...

I'm not sure how they did it, but Las Vegas is a pretty damn good team....they come at you in waves, they are relentless, they out work you, they are fast, they make tremendous plays with the puck...this team is good enough to win the cup. How embarrassing is that for a lot of teams in the NHL(including the Sabres) who didn't want many of these players? I don't think any team in the history of sports as an expansion team in the modern era has been this good in their first year...this team is the real deal and if they win this series they will give the Jets or Preds all they can handle in the the conference finals...

Evander Kane did very well in his 1st playoff game
matter2003 replied to gilbert11's topic in The Aud Club
Maybe you should just call him Candy Cane since you cant spell his name properly. Its Kane. -
It happens almost every year in the playoffs...Buffalo is he #1 hockey market. And this doesn't even take into account all the people watching the Hockey Night In Canada Broadcasts either.

You must be crazy to think these people are making $15-30 an hour. They are making less than minimum wage once factoring in all their expenses and costs. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-uber-wage-study/mit-study-that-found-low-pay-for-uber-drivers-to-be-revisited-idUSKCN1GF0RL medium pre-tax profit is $3.37 an hour...far cry from the $30 you are talking about

Pretty much sums up their last 5 seasons... Someone on the Sabres needs to get crazy with the Cheese Whiz...
-
Pretty much the best thing that could happen in this game happened...both Nylander and Middlesatdt off the schneid

Depends what era you are talking about. If you are talking about the early to mid 80's then no, it isn't even close and never will be again. Hockey does more to stifle its offense than any other sport. While other sports place huge value on scoring and increasing it via rule changes, hockey places huge value on defense, goalies and reducing it via rul changes and allowing the God awful Left WingLock/Trap to be played routinely. Even going back to the early '90s there were routinely 9-12 players scoring over 100 points in a season with 7-10 more above 90 points---as late as '92-'93 there were 20!!!! players who scored at least 100 points that year. The fact we have set the bar so low for what constitutes lots of points in a season is ridiculous. I mean for Christ's Sakes Benn won the scoring title the one year without even hitting 90 points...that is ludicrous.

For the rest of this year? Maybe 3 or 4 points with a goal in there...

Ehh...Sabres fell flat on their face after taking a 2-0 lead...Middlestadt looked lost for much of the night basically skating figure 8's and making poor puck plays, but made a nice move down the center of the ice to get open and had a pass put on his tape to split a few defenders before either missing the net on a backhand in close or having it saved...it was hard to tell from the camera angle...he also got an assist for basically winning a draw... Its only his first game but you can tell he is going to need some time but has some tools to work with -
From my perspective a loss is a loss, doesnt matter if you lose in regulation or OT or a shootout. Pretty sure no team in the league is even close to where the Sabres are in terms of being below .500 based on that definition. Personally I think it should be 3 points for a win in regulation, 2 for a win in OT or shootout and 1 point for a loss in the shootout with 0 points if you lose in OT
-
I'm more concerned with the other 20 players who feel they can relax and not play like they did when he was out because he is back and will carry them
-
This is really mind numbing...the Sabres have now gone 448 games since they were last above .500(with OT losses included). The last time they were above this was the 3rd game of the 2012-2013 season under Ron Rolston when they were 2-1... Not sure if this is an NHL record but it very might well be...it really is hard to not go above .500 if even for a game at the beginning of the season for that long
-
What the hell does something that happened 5 years ago have to do with the way he is playing this year?

Mittelstadt Signed ELC with Sabres reports directly to Buffalo
matter2003 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Oh you mean like the Rangers needed Vessey right away? Middlestadt is far better than Vessey was. -
Its like when Jack is hurt all the other guys realize they need to step up and do more so they play harder and when Jack comes back instead of playing harder they use it as an excuse to be lazy and wait for Jack to do something...terrible mindset to have

Will Borgen Signed and Heading to the Amerks on ATO

Yes!! Sabres starting to add future pieces to their pipelines -
Think its safe to say from the last 3 "games"---if you want to call them that, the Sabres have packed it in for the year. 2 shutouts and going down 5-0 in the 3rd game is pretty uninspiring to say the least...so glad Eichel decided to come back and help out offensively

Average profit for a Lyft/uber driver is $3.37 an hour after all expenses are accounted for according to this MIT study... Be better flipping burgers somewhere they start out at like $11 an hour now https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usatoday.com/amp/389230002

Hard to do when you lived though it as an adult

As a former meteorology major in college I can tell you that is incorrect. Probably the closest comparison would be to a rapidly intensifying hurricane.
-
Not sure but Anderson literally had a half blade of one skate in the crease and there is no way I would consider that being in the crease... Really? It wasn't called that way in the Stanley Cup finals with Hull and Hasek...
-
IMHO, the definition of crease should be the goalie has to have at least half his body in it for that to count as being in the crease They were both going for the puck, Larsson just got there first

If you buy at the right time/place it can rapidly increase in value. We bought our house in a nice area on the Depew/Lancaster border and have seen the value go up about 60K in the last 10 years...house prices are really surging upward in WNY over the past year and a half or so...
