Isn't it funny how all the good goal scorers always seem to know where to be to get lucky tho? How come that stuff never happens to someone like Girgensons? -

Who are these guys and what have they done to our Sabres?? They are up and down the ice again...I kinda like this fast break offense We look equally as fast...these boys can skate. -
Not trying to jinx things but....could this team actually be good??

Lundquist played unbelievable or we win that game by at least 2 goals...they dominated that game other than for a few minutes here and there. -

Sabres dominated that period, with any luck they could have a 2 or 3 goal lead...Lundquist stood on his head. -
He's 21. Enough said. /Thread

I am not trying to put the cart before the horse or anything but when I watch this team I see a much improved team from last year doing things that will win you games. They are fast, they have some skill, they can make nice clean breakout plays out of their own zone and attack quickly on the counter, they actually hem the other team in their end at least an equal amount as we get hemmed in if not more... I'm not saying we are a playoff team this year, but i don't think we are far off. This team is night and day different from the one we watched last year. Obviously Dahlin has helped tremendously as his breakout passes are just a thing of beauty of most times landing perfectly on the tape, but Botterill deserves some credit for getting these others guys in here and piecing them together. Rochester was fixed last year and and they look really good again this year leading the AHL in scoring and the Sabres look like they are well on their way to being fixed this year. Things are looking up finally for this group and its exciting to watch again. Even in some of the games where they have only had 1 goal they have been exciting to watch whereas last year they were boring and stuck in their own end most of the night.

Mittlestadt said Skinner actually smacked his stick which caused him to hit the puck and it to go in...Skinner should get some type of credit haha...

That was a very entertaining game especially the first and third periods from a Sabre standpoint... This team has skill and speed...its actually fun watching them most nights
-
The Sabres having the most wins in October since 2011 and not being out of the playoff race already
-
Zach Redmond is tied for 2nd in the AHL in scoring with 4 goals and 8 assists for 12 points in 8 games... Meanwhile, Victor Olofsson leads the AHL in scoring with 5 goals and 9 assists for 14 points in 8 games while Lawrence Pilut has 2 goals and 8 assists for 10 points in only 6 games... 3 defenseman in the top 6 scorers in the AHL?? Former Sabres defenseman Prospect TJ Brennan is tied with Pilut with 10 points...Some random dude leading the AHL in scoring?? And he is with Rochester? This is exciting...

Has Jack found 1 of his long term solutions at wing, Jeff Skinner
matter2003 replied to Scottysabres's topic in The Aud Club
Did you see that no look backhand pass by Jack to set up the 2 on 1?? That was an unbelievable play by Eichel skating back to the puck and in one motion backhanding it out of the zone to Pominville -

Skinner is fast and can make things happen on his own. I'd definitely be looking to lock him up. At some point you just have to stop trading players who could be part of the solution and keep them. -
Risto with a bomb from the point!!
-
Put him in a bodybag Johnnie!!

Sabres are looking like a real NHL team...coulld we be seeing a transformation happening rightbefore our eyes??
-
Skinner has the jets!! What a goal!

Beautiful puck movement on the power play...Okposo buries it. I dont want to be too strong with it but I feel the Sabres are pretty much dominating this game. Am I being too optimistic? I mean there are times Anaheim looks like we did for much of last year...running arouns in their own end for 30 seconds clearing the puck out to the Sabres in the neutral zone and then we bring it back in and repeat the process.

Sabres are badly outplaying the Ducks even though they are down 2-0.
-
Sabres were the better team in that period
