Bogosian simply isn't returning. They don't have the cap space for him and likely he will just stay on long term IR to finish out his days as a Sabre.

I was totally bought in when Krueger was hired...he is a leader of men and a winner in everything he has done in his life and is exactly what this young team needs.

How is Miller a defensive liability? He is literally an even +/- player over his entire career...that doesn't even make sense. At worst he is neutral in terms of defensive zone and that makes him a lot better option than Risto's career -143

Panthers are typically the Sabres achilles heel no matter how good or bad either team is...they generally do not play well against them and usually lose...

There are no numbered lines, just ones that play more or less depending on their roles in the game against that particular opponent and the situation

You can get the radio.com App and then it will actually send you notifications from WGR everytime a guest is going to be on the show...sometimes annoying but its a good reminder for things like that...you can also go and listen to any of the interviews they have done in the audio vault in case you can't catch them live(either through the app or on the site itself). Be warned if you listen to it through the radio.com app you will need to sit through the same lame commercials like 50 times in a 3 hour period because apparently they only have 1 or 2 they rotate on a given day.

Getting his shot through to the net. In fact, for players with 10 or more attempted shots, Dahlin ranks dead last in the NHL at Thru%, the percentage of shots that he takes that make it on net at 10%. Dahlin has taken 20 shots and with a thru percentage of 10%, that means only 2 of them have made it on net, and one of them was his partial breakaway goal against Pittsburgh, so that means only 1 of his other 19 shots have gotten through, which is simply abysmal. In terms of players with 20+ shots, the next worst is Jake Muzzin at 25%. Don't get me wrong, Dahlin is an all-world talent, but he HAS to get better at getting his shots through to the net, especially since he is on the top PP unit. Hopefully this is something they can work with him on, oftentimes it just looks like he tries to take the shot regardless of where the opposing player is, and doesn't try and alter either his shot or his positioning to make sure it doesn't get blocked.

I think the Columbus game really skewed things IMHO, because the Sabres team CF% is only 48.2% even though they outshot their opponents in 3 of the 4 games. They were so badly outshot/outchanced in that game that we haven't had enough of a sample size yet to make up for it when we moderately outshot/outchanced the opposition in the other 3 games.

I think this is one of those things that people think the Sabres are the only team that ever suffers from this...Toronto was up 4-1 in the 3rd period against the Canadiens the other day and lost 6-5 in a S/O. Last time I checked the Leafs are a pretty damn good team. Can we please just stop with the "the Sabres are the only team in the NHL that doesn't play 60 minutes every night" or "the Sabres are the only team in the NHL that gives up 2 goal leads in the 3rd period" narratives? It is completely incorrect and just frustrating to keep reading when clearly other teams have a lot of the same issues to varying degrees.

Nobody plays 60 minutes every game.

Ehh...it was up and down more than off...they outshot Montreal 39 to 27. Columbus was an off game.

Couldn't have asked for a better start than that.
