  1. I wouldn;t mind trying for Mueller - 25yo UFA
  2. Difference in replies. What would stop you saying "So we are looking to shore up our top 6 wing, we are confident player x can fill in one slot, which would give us $4million to fill the other slot" That is basically philosophy
  3. It was a 2-day negotiation period wasn't it?
  4. Wow. This is really shocking. I thought he would resign with Ottawa and get traded if they weren't in contention
  5. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-puck-daddy/dustin-byfuglien-apparently-not-locked-refrigerator-summer-photo-053111390--nhl.html I love the headline
  6. Yes. Because they are UFAs. Everyone else cannot sign until tomorrow because that is when their current contracts runs out, so they are not a UFA until tomorrow
  7. Minny gets Ballard for 3mil over 2 years
  8. Yeah :( I don't understand how we got voted 8th best pool- i think ours looks barren after top 10
  9. Poor Morrow, three NHL teams and not a game in the league. Expensive cost for the Stars - Morrow and Smith should make decent NHLers. Sequin best up his game
  10. Ericsson is the most under rated player in the league. I would do Ericsson for Sequin straight up
  11. A fan who eats at Buffalo Chophouse?
  12. It might be easier to fill our top 6 than first expected. Who is going to play centre for Toronto next season? Kadri and Bolland as their top two? Maybe the playoffs are a viable target...
  13. The room i live in at uni is 221 years older than America Commiserations on seceding today (237 years ago) :P Hope everyone has a nice BBQ with friends, or whatever is normally done
  14. Larsson was ready to play in the NHL when we got him (according to MIN fans) but they said we would be best off letting him finish the season in the AHL and starting him this year.
  15. Matt is meant to be one of the nicest guys you could meet. I'm happy for him. He is a good filler energy guy if he is in the NHL because of injuries and he is a good role model for Rochester, showing the kids it is important to give 100% every shift
  16. Is that how he got on both NHL star teams this year? http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=676355&navid=nhl:topheads
  17. The guy is 38 or 39, hasn't played hockey in over a year and is a lockerroom cancer. Who on earth wants him? He put up good stats behind the best defence in the league. He will be an awful goalie behind the Flyers defence (because of the age/missed time)
  18. Yes he did, but for the last two seasons he played RW
  19. Briere would probably play RW, as he did in Philly
  20. Flyers giving up on goal/defence this year?
  21. Makes sense. The guy has nothing to learn in the Q
  22. Galchenyuk is American. Personally I think 25-48 games is too little to start including or excluding players from being a number one centre. This next full season, with a training week, exhibition games and that bit more time for the youngest player in the NHL to mature and we should get a better idea
  23. Those teams also didn't pencil their players in to have a major role in the team. I agree he is behind them, but he wasn't as bad as people made out. The last game he played he was the best player on the ice
  24. No, Rask had only played 41 games that year, so his stats were slightly better than Miller's but had played like 60% of the games Miller had. Yeah I agree about Bob, it also stops him going to the KHL. Smith won' live up to his contract. Pheonix's system and goalie coach help their goalies excel, last year Smith had very pedestrian stats. But no-one wants to play for a bankrupt team in the desert that might move to the rain capital of the US. You have to entice them somehow. They need to have Smith to stay competitive
  25. These are large contracts for one year performers. I have no doubt Rask will continue to be great, Bob i am less sure on (i also watched way less of his games). Miller becomes better value every time a goalies contract runs out :P
