I really hope we don't get Ryan - the guy can only put up like 60 points playing with Getzlaf and Perry, imagine what he would be like with Roy and Leino :s

Gragnani - not re-signed by Vancouver, signed by 'Canes
Trettioåtta replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Archive
TBH, i am not sure if deadline deals are worth it. The player rarely clicks with the team in those last few months. Boyes obviously had a horrific last year though, it was strange -
Already been posted. But anyway, i thought that it turned out his concussions were not concussions but was something like a trapped nerve in his neck which the doctors have missed. Thus, now that is resolved he can recover?
-
You would hope Pens management made 100 doctors confirm that Crosby is over/nearly over his injury problem before they signed him to this deal. Either way, this deal seems fair, he is worth $100 million (comparatively :P)
-
The stars board were talking about Roy/Ott, most would reluctantly do the deal straight up. They seem to really like the guy, although weirdly, many have described Roy as a "slight upgrade offensively" seemingly unaware Roy has put up almost double the number of points Ott has One bright spark suggested: Steve ott, scott glennie, And our new swedish goalie prospect and a 2013 second rounder for derick roy, tyler myers. The 'prospect' turns out to be a 30 year old, who is destined for their AHL

Flames fans think this signing means adios to J Bo

What is special about chz/the picture from 2006? I feel like i came too late to this website and missed the jokes :P

What picture is this?

Does she frequently post pictures?

Myers - they will probably put up similar numbers, only Myers is better defensively and is 22 with a huge upside. Wideman is 29, so at his peak

What was wrong with chzbeach1-3?

How does Feaster have a job?

I disagree, Doan will not go anyway for less than a multi-year deal and i think $4mil would be a fair price for him. I think 4 at 4 per year would work
-
It is $3 mil, not $2 - which makes a difference for a grinder. But he is still worth it in my opinion. Again, we are not saying we don't want Ott, we are saying that just because you need something doesn't mean you have to overpay to get it. You can still get what you need and then some if your asset is better than theirs. They gave Ribero up for a 2nd/decent prospect. Roy is at least on par with him.
-
I agree, we do need them. But we had major issues scoring last year, which people seem ti forget - not to mention the fact that it always feels like we have surplus of mediocre players. I just feel people don't realise the weight Roy has on the trade market. He is not a rugged forward, but he does put up points and has worn a letter multiple times. Moreover, i think people have a habit of making up a back story (locker-room cancer) and running with it. I imagine he feels a bit like Ryan does, whenever a trade happens it is always him going the other way. I also don't like the idea of trading/signing someone and then giving them a letter instantly, it just seems cheap somehow. They might be a good leader, but trust and respect is something you earn and very few people in the lockeroom will know the new guy

GPG - 0.14 for Goose and 0.17 for Ott He maybe more physical, but my point was not to say they are the same, but to point out that whilst many people consider Goose a 4th line player, they are willing to give up a good 2C for a 3rd line player at best
-
Paul Gaustad = 0.37 ppg Steve Ott = 0.39 ppg People need to wake up and stop undervaluing our players. Roy for Ott is highway robbery, Roy had a bad season, but he is capable of putting up 70+ points. Please don't forget that. So those offering trades of Roy/Sekera for Ott are out of their minds, it would be like offering Kopitar/Scuderi for Roy.... He might fit out plans, but that doesn't mean you get him irrespective of the cost. Roy is an asset, you don't waste him. The Pens had three amazing centres, that didn't mean they gave Staal away for free - in fact they got a boatload for him.
-
I wonder why he was not extended an offer :s
-
I thought we wanted consistency?
-
If you watch Win games, it seems that fans think this is a good price and that he stole them a lot of games
-
Two bottom six forwards might be coming to the Sabres?? I can't wait!!!
-
I don't quite get all the fuss about Ryan - the guy has only hit the 70 point mark once. Not that i wouldn't want him, just not sure he is worth Stafford/Sekera/1st or Miller for him/Hiller
