Nice observation. I know what you mean with Gailey. I agree that Ruff is a nice guy, and hard worker. I seriously doubt that he will ever win a Stanley Cup. It would have happened by now. Marty Schottenheimer, w/o as many playoffs. It appears that some are starting to blame Ruff for not firing himself, and I think the anger should be directed at the owner.

I don't see it is booing the players, or team. It's just showing displeasure with the Status Quo, mainly Lindy. Your approach isn't wrong, imo, but booing will do more for those wanting a coaching change, than cheering would. I'm not looking to cause trouble. :P -

Boo louder! It's OK to voice your displeasure! Healthy, in fact! Look at New York, Boston, Philly, Thriving metropolises. They boo. You can too! -

Kaleta had 10 pts last year, in 63 games, averaging one pt. every 6.3 games. Zero pts so far this season, so he is due for a 2 pt night. -
Something by Harry Nilsson might be good. The video could be played on the Jumbotron. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmfwHxk6b1k

The Bruins suck! I'm rooting for Pittsburgh next game. They're a really good team. Enjoy the win. Good game Sabres. -
If I were from Manchester, England, I'd imagine myself rooting for either City or United. The determining factor would be, in all likelihood, who my father rooted for. My father rooted for the Sabres. Because I'm from Buffalo, and my father rooted for the Sabres, and I have all sorts of fond memories and emotional attachments to the team, both at the Aud, Arena, and at home, I was a Sabres fan. That was then, but this is now. "Convert grief to anger. Blunt not the heart, enrage it," Shakespeare wrote. Well, we've been pissed off for a long time now, and all said how angry we are, yap, yap, yap, but before that, remember how we shouted down Team Storm Cloud, though they were the better arguers? Now,who will argue against firing Ruff? The only argument is "not gonna happen," and the only recourse it seems to the Sabres for life crowd is apathy. "Convert grief to anger. Blunt not the heart, enrage it," Malcolm told Duncan. Duncan went out and murdered MacBeth. Here we sit, feeling sorry for ourselves. Pass the bottle. I'm rooting for the opposition, now. Envy me, Sabres fans. Postscript: tried it and the Bruins aren't the team that I was looking for. :( I've got a date lined up with the Penguins  , Sunday sometime.

As a soccer fan, I've celebrated several championships, both as a Manchester United, and as an Arsenal fan. It's like really good sex, and leaves me with an afterglow that lasts for weeks. What makes people think the Sabres can provide that, and why it has to be with the Sabres for them, is beyond me. Why people are so in love with the Sabres, that they subject themselves to a life of blue-balls, makes no sense. If the Sabres were a good team, or they were fun to root for then I'd be on board with the whole love-affair. As it is, I can only sit-by and pity the fool that loves this team. That feeling doesn't last long though. Soon enough, I'm making sweet love to the away team at the F'NC, right in front of the Sabres, and it feels so good and manly.

Bruins look like a good team. I think I'll be rooting for them tonight. I'm gonna get my freak on. -
You still love the Sabres, deep down. They take you for granted, now, and don't respect your opinion, don't listen, and make no effort to satisfy your emotional needs. You're a cuckold. You know what will get them to love and respect you? Clean yourself up, shave, shower, brush your teeth, and put on your coolest clothes, and go out tonight with the intention of finding another team to root for. Have fun. Play the field. Get freaky. Between you and I, the Sabres will always take you back, but you can make it on your own terms. Be a fan, yes, but also, be a man.

Ronaldo had his hair slicked back for this game. Aerodynamics. Here's what Fergie had to say about it: "I said to Patrice Evra at half-time, 'why didn't you challenge him?' and then I saw the replays,” Ferguson said. “It was then that I thought, 'what was I talking about?' I felt a bit stupid because, on the replay, Cristiano’s knee is about as high as Evra’s head – phenomenal. I’ve seen it before, in Rome (against Roma in 2008), and I don’t think any other player in the world can do that, certainly not Lionel Messi." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/9869536/Manchester-United-manager-Sir-Alex-Ferguson-hails-phenomenal-Cristiano-Ronaldo-after-stunning-header.html -
John-boy, lemme tell you something. You know, them chains ain't medals. You get 'em for making mistakes. And you make a bad enough mistake, and then you gotta deal with the Man. And he is one rough old boy.

WHAT WE HAVE HERE, IS FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE! You run one time, you got yourself a set of chains. You run twice you got yourself two sets. You ain't gonna need no third set, 'cause you gonna get your mind right. LINDY AINT GOIN' NOWHERE!

It is interesting when Peters turns into "likes-to-fight" guy on air. I want to fight Peters, when he starts wanting to fight everybody. It's so absurd. Could we maybe gang up on him? -
I'm no Physicist, but "like and equal opposite reaction." It is the Physics of Over-ration. Which reaction came first? My memory is foggy. What was the catalyst that first spawned the Over-raters? Olympics first, I imagine? I can see where a guy who let up a soft goal on Crosby to lose the tournament, yet was given full credit by some for USA's success in the tournament might get over-rated. The taste is quite bitter, to describe the taste of this particular type of over-ratiing. It's well known that the Over-ratedness of Enroth bears a direct correlation to the above, yet the formula has not yet been discovered by Physicists. "Perhaps a job for Analytics," is sort of a joke in the world of Over-rationary Physics, when they can't figure something out.

Seriously. I can not drink and think about the Sabres. I can't turn on WGR. I can barely write this, stone cold sober. I turned on the radio, by force of habit, and left the room. I had to go back into the room to turn the radio off, though it was barely audible. A large part of it is me, for different reasons. I've got an infant son, that I'm taking care of during the days. We have a lot of fun together, and the Sabres ruin it. Wish I could blame the Sabres on my love life, but that's none too swell either. I still enjoy this forum, purely for the writing and reading. Nice posts, everyone. We'll figure this thing out.
