Meanwhile, jackals are ripping at a bag of garbage.

I sort of was hoping people wouldn't pick up on the comparisons when I deleted the post. I guess it was experimental, but you managed to capture it well. I sort of like Warren Buffet. I'm just curious, but what's your grievance with him? Is It the Courier Express? -
Before I get all worked up and quote happy, what sort of back-up are you looking for? There's some stuff about 'psyops fracking,' and 'fbi fracking' on the internet. Do you want to defend this company? "WELLSBORO, Pa. -- A firm called East Resources Inc. was among the first to drill into the Marcellus Shale, a rock layer found to be rich in natural gas. As the small wildcatter drilled, starting in 2008, regulators repeatedly cited it for spills or other environmental infractions, almost two for every shale well it drilled." http://online.wsj.co...346741120261384 Your hero?.

Hey Dale, I appreciate you coming to the Sabres. I think that the ingredients were there in 93. We were extremely close to beating the Habs, after Boston, and you were peaking. There's lots of woulda, should haves, but it would have been sweet to see Hasek in those playoffs. Also, it sucks that LaFontaine was injured, but I feel sucky talking about minor injuries in the midst of a discussion about the Stanley Cup Playoffs, if you know what I mean. You've got nothing to be ashamed of from your time here. As I get older, I appreciate your slower style of play, haha. I also think that having the fastest man in the league on the team would have been tough to compare to. Like I pointed out, though, your production was second to none in the history of the Sabres, and it ain't your fault that you had to play with the second defensive pairing during your time here. Totally proud to have had a first ballot Hall of Famer here at the Sabres, and I'd love to see your number up in the rafters some day. Cheers.

I'm sorry to hear that, NS, but, I guess that climate change is a Thing now. In the Buffalo area, we are getting more heavy rains per year. Our dreams that climate change would benefit Buffalo took a hard knock this past winter when the "Lazy Jet Stream" actually brought Arctic Air further South. In the irony of all ironies, we got colder and snowier, had 2 blizzards, yet the icecaps are melting still faster. What do all fossil fuels have in common? Oil, Coal, and Gas are all produced by living stuff that died. Someone realized that they could bring all this dead matter to the surface and burn it for energy, and they could trade the energy for money. I wrote a song, I made a basket, I dug a ditch, and in some small way, through my actions, I made the surface of the world a better place. I did these deeds myself, and these deeds were valued. People payed money for them. If I become good at my craft, and consistent, then I used to become wealthy. Or, I signed papers, giving me the right to extract the death matter from 419 million years ago. It was a good investment, so banks lent me money, and I could afford to buy anyone that I wanted. Banks, and Lawyers, and Engineers, and Scientists, are my employees. I own a hockey team too. But I'm the ditch digger, and the ###### shoveler. What can I do? In my small way, I feel that I have stormed the castle of the robber baron. I may have changed some peoples opinions, I may have charmed some people, but the closest that I have felt to success was when Ted Black vaguely mentioned a "future owner" last year. There is some prose that I can print, and some praise that I appreciate, but I haven't really had success. I went to the lake today with my son. Just months ago, he could barely walk, and now he can run. His favorite thing, which he asks for when he sees the lake, is to throw rocks into the water. "Wawa, wawa," he says, "wawa, ploop," and he motions to throw. He loves to throw rocks in the water, but the action is valueless, yet if he were to throw an Olivine gravel stone in the lake, it would negate its own weight in Greenhouse Gas over his lifetime. And Olivine is the most abundant element in the mantle of the earth. And it's hardly valuable, certainly less so than death matter. "You are doing it right, son." Nobody is paying attention to Gowanda, or Bosnia, or Serbia, or to the fires out West. I don't know if things are different now, but when Terry became the owner, a strong stance against fracking in NYS was enough to get your computer hacked, your family shook up and more, by whomever it concerned. I think that you are all familiar with Edward Snowden, Back then, it was called psychological operations by the oil and gas industry, and back then the government was very compliant to the industries wants and needs. I was an Eco-Terrorist by my message board posts alone. I might have been a casualty of that war, but I might have just got pissed off. We'll see. Pegula is still an hero, right? Go Sabres, all the same. Here's what we can do to save the planet, without hurting P-Diddler's bottom line. Just take all of your foodscraps, and compost them. It's a chore to do it yourself, but some people find it worth the good soil that is the end result. But I suggest that you find some local company or farmer to do the composting for you. Don't feel bad if they're not knocking on your door yet, but be gracious when they do, because they'll probably smell ######. "The EPA estimates that there are approximately six thousand landfills in the United States. Most of these landfills are composed of municipal waste, and, therefore, produce methane. These landfills are the largest source of anthropogenic methane emissions in the United States. These landfills will contribute an estimated four hundred and fifty to six hundred and fifty billion cubic feet of methane per year (in 2000)." A well managed compost pile negates the majority of these methane emissions. 30% of the material that ends up in landfills could be composted, so that's worth some energy. I am asking you, when the time comes, be willing to spend $5 per month for someone to turn this food waste into soil, and save you the greenhouse gas, because it's a small step, but worth it.

Even worse, it was East Resources Management that broke your link! Looks like someone doesn't want the public to hear what you have to say, Heimdall, but I heard it loud and clear!! Rock on!
-
Heimdall, buddy, either Chinese hackers, or the NSA broke your link. My people are working on it, and you'll soon be able to repost. Let's just say, the problem is being taken care of, hehem.

I like the way that you have furthered the thread Weave and K-9. Obviously, I have never seen Perreault play live, and think that Hawerchuk was underrated. I think I know what you are saying, though... What you are saying is that Perreault had that stand-on-your-feet-when-he-gets-the-puck Afinogenov Magic?! But with less speed? Just kidding. I respect your opinions on 11. I just think that a person from Winnepeg might consider 10 to be one better, and might actually be right. For someone who was a threat to go all the way every time, why didn't Perreault score more goals than Hawerchuk? I'm sure that Perreault was a better skater than Hawerchuk, and had great linemates. Why didn't he score more goals or points than Hawerchuk in your opinion? How did the NHL change, and why, since I am too young to know?
-
The highest point total that Sydney Crosby has ever recorded in a season is 120. Dale Hawerchuk eclipsed that total in two seasons: 84-85 (130pts), and 87-88 (121pts). I love Dale "Mighty Duck" Hawerchuk, and think that he may have been a better player than Gilbert "Dipsy Doodle" Perreault. BTW, I have no memory of Perreault, but he was like Mogilny, only drunker, smokier, frencher, slower, and less russian, RIGHT?!, from what I gather. But why have point totals in the NHL gone down so much over the years. There used to be more than a few players per season to eclipse 100 pts per season. Now so uninspiring. Other sports are setting records. Why not NHL players? Is it because The Mighty Duck has retired? Or no? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rjCXX40WQo

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6avQcV2vH8 Remember the May Day goal? The Sabres swept the Bruins that series. The Sabres were then swept by the Habs in 4 consecutive 4-3 games. Hawerchuk had 14 pts in 8 games in those playoffs. I could be wrong, but I don't think that any other Sabre has ever done better than 1.75 ppg in a playoff year. Hawerchuk's .65 goals created per game in those playoffs were best in the NHL, ahead of Gretzky and Lemieux. http://www.hockey-reference.com/playoffs/NHL_1993.html Thus I have presented further evidence that Dale Hawerchuk may be the greatest hockey player to have donned the Blue and Gold. Statistically,Hasek and Hawerchuk, are apples and oranges.
-
In the Pantheon of Sabres Greats, where would Dale Hawerchuk rank? Or would he rank at all? He is one of seven former Sabres in the Hockey Hall of Fame. From 1990 to 1995, the former 1st overall selection scored 296 points in 262 games (1.13ppg). Hawerchuk's career 1.18ppg average is higher than Lafontaine's career average. Hawerchuk ranks 19th all time for career points in the history of the NHL. The only former Buffalo Sabres player to have scored more points in his NHL career was Doug Gilmore who scored 5 more points in 286 more games than Hawerchuk. Dale Hawerchuk had more goals per game than the all time NHL leader in powerplay goals, Dave Andreychuk. Hawerchuk has 1409 career points, and 518 career goals. Both are higher totals than Perreault, Yet, Hawerchuk achieved these numbers in fewer games played. He ranks 9th all time for points per game in the history of the NHL. I submit this evidence to you, in the belief that Hawerchuk may be the greatest hockey player to have ever donned the Blue and Gold. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCaVzt7Uen4

Me neither, 11.

I think that he is willing to spend money. That is different than spending "the money to make the Sabres better." It's a bad image for the players on the ice. Pegula's image gets in the way of the product on the ice. We are used to looking up to the owner as a person.

Like I said, I'm glad to pay well over $100 dollars a pop, because that's the equivalent to 1/4 oz of marijuana. And the Sabres losing gets me high as a kite, though 1/4 oz of marijuana would get me high every day for a week, if I were to smoke 3x joints per day, However, it is more worth it to see the Sabres lose for 3 hours, because the ultra-high that I get from the Sabres losing lasts about 2 days, but it is 4x more powerful than the high that I get from marijuana, if I were to buy a bag of marijuana that would last me for one week, smoking 3x per day. Sabre losing, lasts shorter, but is WAY better. In a sense, the Sabres losing is keeping me sober, so, as you can imagine, I am a huge Pegula fan, because I am assured of losing with him as the owner. And it is easier for me to watch the Sabres, than to buy and smoke the equivalent marijuana for $100. If they win, though, I go into a tailspin. But there's always meth. Meth is worse that the Sabres losing, but better than the Sabres winning. I am fine and happy, so long as the Sabres keep losing, but when they start winning I may go off the rails a bit.

I like the diversion of front office energy towards being good immediately. I am looking forward to seeing Sammy Watkins catching short passes, and turning them upfield for positive yardage. I am skeptical about our defense, because it seemed that the coach Pettine did things that weren't possible before him, and may not be possible after him. I'm happy with the new running back acquisition, because it seems like he falls forward at the end of his runs, and has good balance and vision from what I've seen, and would be better than what we may have drafted in the third round this year. I'm looking forward to this season, and I'm glad to say that I'll be watching Cleveland as well, because I have friends from there, and they aren't expecting much out of their new quarterback, which to me, is funny. I also think that it's funny that Cleveland will not have many good receivers, which will make watching Cleveland more entertaining, because their quarterback is a rich man's Doug Flutie, and will be fun to watch.

I'm pissed because if I find gold beneath my property it belongs to New York State, and goes towards the general good, but the gas beneath my property doesn't belong to me, and isn't considered a State Resource. If I were to find the biggest richest vein of gold in all of the country in my own backyard, that would belong to the State. I don't hate government, because they provide the roads and schools that I use, and the gold could also be used to buy food and shelter and water for many. However, if it is gas or oil that is found, then a bunch of millionaires are going to get richer, under my own feet, and the money will not be distributed evenly. If you live in New York State, then perhaps you have some concept of the State's natural resources. Perhaps you feel a sense of pride for living in such an abundant state. I am sure that you pay taxes, so I'd forgive you for feeling a sense of investiture or ownership in the State. I'd like to remind you, though, that you don't own the oil and gas, because that's a private resource, rather than a State resource. Any pride that you might take in the fact that New York State has gas reserves should be divorced from your calculus. Natural Gas is not a State Resource.

+ 1, + facebook friends, + Twitter followers, + drinking your opponents ###### blood = strong candidacy. I've been waiting patiently for the moment that this board would become relevant. Thank you GoDD. Bwahaha!!! because you might have a strong chance against Collins on the New Republican ticket. Team StormCloud will be gathering behind you.

When it's dark, pitch black, one doesn't know the cliff edge from the cliff face. It's seldom that one gets the chance to drive along the edge of a cliff in the pitch black; so more often it's a pedestrian that falls off the cliff edge, down the cliff face, in the pitch black, into the whirlpool below. In such times, I would hope that someone would get rescued, and be not alone in the whirlpool, however deep. and scary. But if one comes with friends to the cliff and falls, then the height may be a factor. When one calls out from the whirlpool and hears nothing but the drowning rush of water, then what hope is left? Then what? But if one falls into the whirlpool and there is someone far above that can navigate one to safety, then there is hope of redemption. And that, perhaps, is SabreSpace.

Soccer (Football) ~ Everything About The Beautiful Game
I am Defecting replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
I'm rooting for Sunderland as well, Eleven. I think we should try for an MLS team in Buffalo too. -
Eleven, are you saying that you haven't invented anything - that you are in the present? Then you are in last place by a mile.
