  1. haha, because they'd have to get to the playoffs - that's a reach with Team Regier and all the decisions made by committee. I loved it - wished I could have been there to taunt him - "Awwww, poor baby - cry baby, cry!" lmao!!! The league should fine him for that, actually.
  2. - I know the feeling!
  3. Did Ruff give the Blackhawks some power play tips? That is one sad PP that Chicago has.
  4. Officiating seems biased in Boston's favor
  5. And then you can go to another bank that will treat you like ###### in a different way. :) Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. General rule of thumb, banks suck. Well, he did articulate a couple things well. The fact that it's his team, and he'll do with it what he pleases, came thru crystal clear on my receiver. :) Oh, and that decisions are apparently made by committee - our government has used this strategy quite effectively for decades to ensure waste and inefficiency. :) EDIT - PS, many elementary schools finished yesterday - all WNY schools should be done by tomorrow (Friday).
  6. Regier remains GM of the Sabres, and enjoys the owner's support, even though said owner can't even really effectively articulate why he supports Regier.
  7. Yep - I noticed that too.
  8. What a weasel!
  9. Derek Roy????? WTF!!!!??? No Perreault, no Martin, no Gare?? That can't possibly be an official Sabres poll, can it?
  10. ahahahahaha!!!! Even got the corporate-speak going there! LOL
  11. Didn't read the whole thing but.... looks like Bunomatic and DeLuca were spot on in their assessment - guy is a dog with fleas.
  12. You know, I've never really hated the Maple Leafs..... but if the Bruins win the Cup this year, as it's looking more likely they will, I will hate them with the fire of a thousand burning suns! Do the Leafs have a message board/forum? I need someplace to vent my spleen should Boston triumph!
  13. I would *hope* the professional GM of an NHL team, making millions of dollars, might be able to make wiser, more insightful decisions than we fans spending a few minutes per day chatting about hockey on a message board. EDIT - I have never, to the best of my knowledge, supported Stafford.
  14. Wait - next you'll probably tell us that HHO for cars is a fraud too! *Damn you all to helllllllllllll!!!!" - said in my best Charlton Heston voice.
  15. His support for Regier didn't seem *that* solid. He must have expected that Regier would have been the first topic of discussion - but he was hesitant, stumbled for words, etc.... He couldn't seem to point to any highlights of Regier's actual performance that make Darcy the man for the job. I have the feeling Regier is on very thin ice - only slightly thicker than the ice that Ruff was standing upon in February.
  16. According to Wikipedia, he's still alive (age 93)
  17. Awww, so much for the prospects of a Ruff-coached Rangers facing the Sabres.
  18. Color me astonished.... a former head coach for a Buffalo team having trouble finding equivalent work anywhere else in the nation. This city hires more also-rans, and keeps 'em longer, than any other major league sports city in America - our coaching choices (thinking primarily of the Bills here) end up being the laughingstock of the country. Ruff is so soft now.... does he even have a spinal column left or is it just a cartilaginous mass?
  19. Too early (or too late?) for an April Fool's joke, isn't it? :)
  20. haha! His legs were tired, you know?
  21. I'd rather see somebody break his giant beak of a nose instead. He's like a little chihuahua that yaps at others then cringes behind his owner's leg.... he flaps his mouth while standing safely behind one of the bigger Bruins players. If I were a player, I'd take a 5 minute major just to board the little SOB facefirst.
  22. Well, I did that right away, actually. I did a search for Blackhawks and found nothing. Thanks again for the assist!
  23. Not to mention that this Chicago team set a new NHL record, and eclipsed the OLD record, for consecutive games with points scored from the start of a season. Not sure why they'd be considered 'underdogs' in the first place. I believe the previous teams which held this record also went on to win the Stanley Cup, or at least a majority of the teams. Chz, you're better than the DISH TV listings. They showed the Chicago game at 1 pm today -but NHL replayed the Bruins/Pens final game. The listings show Bruins Pens at 3 pm, but.... it's the Blackhawks/LA game I wanted to record. Thanks again! Owe ya! :)
  24. I'm not sure who I'll be more annoyed with ..... the Bruins or the damn Maple Leafs.... they only had to protect a 3 friggin' goal lead for a few minutes and Boston would have been gone. What a bunch of choke-artists.
  25. Funny.... a few years ago, I was pulling for the Bruins against Vancouver. Now I hope they lose. :)
