BTW, 18-Horton - was definitely offsides... I've watched that a bunch of times now... it wasn't even close - he was 7-8' over the blue line when the puck was still 1' behind the blue line. Yeah, he DID come out of the zone briefly a few seconds earlier, after Chicago cleared it, but the puck hadn't been taken back to the Blackhawk's zone yet and he went back into the Hawk's zone. You can't come out of the zone and then go back into the zone and wait for the puck.... that's not how I understand the rule. Lucic's goal should have NEVER counted!

^^^ hard to dislike the Blackhawks - they play good, hard, relateively clean hockey, and they never give up. Maybe the Sabres will get there someday, post-Regier?
-
But which came first? The economics or the interaction? There is likely a correlation between the two related to the personal habits/characteristics of the parents in the first place.

Damn rain - not sure if I'm going cruising tonight because of it.

Having read the above, I agree with Sizzlemeister's analysis.

The Sabres Hockey Hotline with... somebody or other?
Jsixspd replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Look at it this way - there are a finite number of days remaining that the Sabres will be saddled with Darcy Regier. If one were comatose through 4 days of that remaining span, it would ease the pain.... a little. :) -
Damn, that's a serious hockey player right there - doesn't matter what team he plays for - gotta respect that.
-
One positive thing - it's the best possible time of year for it to happen - at least there's enough time to recover before the season starts.

Chz, great video find. Thanks for posting! That bar must be awesome for Chicago Blackhawks fans during away games - a goal light, horn, AND they play Chelsea Dagger! I haven't been this happy about a sports outcome since the Giants spanked the Patriots back in the 2012 Superbowl! There seems to be a common thread - seeing Boston teams lose big games makes me ecstatic! :)

Very sad to see - I hope Calgary and the fans can bounce back.

What a bunch of asshats - they thought it was great when Chara shoved Toews into the goal from behind. I still don't understand how that isn't/wasn't a penalty - Toews didn't have the puck - the puck was behind the net along the boards at that moment. And Chara's shove, I believe, resulted in the net getting knocked off the pins - that should have been delay of game. The best comment at the Bruins board that I've seen by Pie O My.... "so this is what it feels like to be a Leafs fan" http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/showpost.php?p=67931435&postcount=850

The camera angle on NBC show it very clearly. I even paused the video this morning at the critical moments and wrote my video paused and the offside clear as crystal. Chicago had pushed the puck out of the attacking zone. Boston brought it back into the attacking zone over the blue line. Horton was facing back towards the Boston end of the ice a good 8 to 9 feet BEYOND the blue line BEFORE the puck crossed the blue line. That's a pretty clear off-side. The only way it wasn't an offside is if CHICAGO brought the puck back into their own zone, OR, it bounced off a Chicago player before entering the zone. But that didn't happen - Bruins brought it over the blue line You can't have attacking players ahead of the puck when entering the attacking zone - that's flagrant offsides.

Imagine the reaction today in the the Hawk's office if someone asked them if they were interested in trading either Kane or Toews? We'd probably hear the uproarious laughter here in Western NY - lol

Stanley Cup here we come!! woohoo!!!!

Hey, you want to see an example of bad officiating in favor of the Bruins, go to 8:04 of the 3rd - the puck comes out BEYOND the red line, Then at 8:01 Boston is bringing it back to Chicago zone - at that time Bruins 18, Horton, is about 8-10 feet BEYOND the blue line in the Chicago zone when the puck is still a good foot outside the blue line. Should have been whistled dead as a blatant off-side, but then a few seconds later Lucic scores, assisted by the previously off-side Horton. I thought it looked like they were offside last night, but I was watching at friends' home so I couldn't rewind and watch. It wasn't like he was a few inches offside - Horton was beyond the Stanley Cup lettering on the ice with the puck feet outside the zone before it crossed! Disgusting!

It's crazy to think that the Sabres last played TWO MONTHS before Chicago and Boston played their final game. Tell me it wouldn't have been a penalty had Kaleta done that same push.... Toews didn't even have the puck
-
haha, I don't see it happening in a million years - but it's nice to have fantasies. :)
-
What Sizzlemeister really seems to be stating - is that we should get both Kane AND Toews..... that would be an absolute nightmare - we might have to ditch Stafford and Myers to make room - that would be horrible.

Chicago Stronger!

The Killer Bs..... Bolland and Bickell....got it done

YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!

Tell me the officiating isn't off....chara just shoved Toews into the Boston net...no penalty.
-
Somebody should be checking these officials bank balances before and after the game. The officiating sure seems dirty to me

I guess the only Bruins 'trait' of which I'm 'jealous' is their ability to mug other teams' players with a minimum number of penalties. Seemed to me like the Hawks played a lot cleaner hockey game than the Bruins Saturday night.... and frequently Blackhawk players were down on the ice from being interfered with, and yet no calls against the Bruins. The officiating was horrible. Buffalo has been victimized a couple times by Bruin's league-approved teflon coating - it was a disgrace that Lucic was able to cheap shot Ryan Miller and got only a two minute minor..... Somebody ought to get in Shanahan's grill and rip him up onside and down the other for that BS.... Oh, and notice old Chief Woodenlegs.... way back in the Boston corner - great defense there.

I am very surprised at these poor stats, with big names like Tyler Myers, Drew Stafford, and Tyler Ennis on our team. Just shows stats aren't everything - those guys are dynamite together.
