  1. Oh, doh!!! LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Checked the wildcard standings today at ESPN http://espn.go.com/nhl/standings/_/type/wildcard/group/1 Can't be too much longer until the Sabres are shut out of the 2014 playoffs - we're already 24 points behind the 2nd tier wildcard team, Detroit. In the last month, 14 games played, Sabres only made 12 points out of 28 possible. And there's 27 games left in the season, so only 54 points left. At the current pace from the last 14 games, 12/28 = 43%. If the Sabres stay the same, projecting ahead, 43% of 54 = 23 points. Even if Detroit didn't earn another point all season, we would still come in one point behind them. I'm guessing by March 18th, Sabres will be playing only for pride - they'll be eliminated.
  3. Locked already, though. Who the blazes is the fun-killer?
  4. I think a great April 1st topic would be "Good things about Ville Leino" -
  5. Well, I would say that America has a huge advantage now in basketball, with the megastar commercial pros playing, instead of the collegiates and such in Olympics past. Real exciting stuff watching, for example, a Charles Barkley throw a cheap elbow at some Angolan amateur.
  6. I love the smell of tacos in the morning.... it smells like.....victory!
  7. We need a new topic on who the Sabres should absolutely keep for next season. It would be a short list I'm afraid, at least in my opinion
  8. The Sabres must practice with one that has a hole dead center in the chest - that's where it seems a preponderance of Sabres SOGs are directed. LOL
  9. I didn't notice it posted. But there is one big difference between the two videos - the first is the NESN feed, ie, Boston cry-baby homers, and the second which I posted is the more unbiased Florida Panthers broadcast. :)
  10. Boston still likes to take cheap shots on goalies... this time on former Bruin Tim Thomas, who wasn't having any of it.
  11. I only live an hour from Buffalo - but I haven't gone to Mighty Taco in several years. I love their food though..... I need to get there!
  12. Hooray! Sub-Zero!!!!! Leino, however, is just plain zero!
  13. ^^^^^hahahaha!!!
  14. Best topic I've seen in a while. LOLOLOL!!!!!
  15. "Mighty Pack"? What the heck is that? Something from Mighty Taco's menu? LOL
  16. It is absolutely ridiculous. "Intent to whistle" - what a crock. The NHL ought to fine itself for such garbage.
  17. I heard them discussing it at the time. But after the end of the 3rd period, when they're doing the summary as to what went wrong for the Sabres, it wasn't even mentioned. And it's a huge factor in the game - it would have tied the score. As far as I'm concerned - LET the league get pissed, put on their big-boy pants, whatever. Then they'll know how we fans, who actually pay the bills, feel every time we watch their crappy officials doing crappy officiating like this.
  18. It took me a second to figure this out - but you're right! That was a valid goal that got waived off. And why doesn't the NHL address this? it's ridiculous. In multiple replays, the whistle clearly didn't blow until AFTER the puck crossed the line. Did Toronto review that, or was it a 'review' by the same official that made the bad call and then amazingly confirmed his own bad call? And I wish the Sabres broadcast team would start slamming these officials for these terrible calls - they don't need to be neutral - they're the SABRES broadcasters for pitys sake. If I'd had that mike, I'd have shredded him!!!
  19. Wow - has that ever happened in Sabres' history before? Past the half-way mark of the season and not one player in the plus, in plus/minus?
  20. Well, the NHL is sidelined for nigh unto 3 weeks. This was when the Olympics were worth watching - the young amateurs got their day in the sun, without the hypercommercialization and the millionaire pros hogging all the glory that was once reserved for the up and coming. And notice - no product placement in the arena - no Toyota logos on the ice, etc.
  21. "Thanks" to the Olympics. It will be tough to get through it - this time of the year is rugged anyways - gray, cold, dismal, football season is over, baseball is in its normal winter hibernation. Now we lose hockey for nearly 3 weeks! It's easier to take since the Sabres are so bad, and aren't really playing for anything at this point. But we had a shortened season last year, and then lose 3 weeks this year. Bleh! I liked the Olympics better anyways when it was amateurs playing, and not all the pros.
  22. Yeah, solidly so. They gained two points on us last night. And I suspect we won't be getting any points tomorrow night against Pittsburgh.
  23. Do the Sabres ever win when Stafford scores a goal? And that takes some doing - score 2 goals in the first period - and then play 40 minutes against the 29th worst team in the NHL and not manage to score a goal.
  24. With Leino off the ice, who is the Lt. Tank Commander? I'd nominate Erroroff. He was -2 for the night, and that one penalty was unbelievably stupid - playing the puck while he was still on the bench - lmao!!!!! And amazingly, neither Weber nor Yakupov made any gains on each other in their race for the plus/minus cellar. Both were big zeroes for the night.
