What a bunch of BS.... shouldn't be a penalty on Stafford.

A few minutes ago Rick J said "Leino left it in his own end" :lol: How can you not laugh at that choice of words? How many years now has that ad been on? Wow, Myers is all over the place out there! He's been terrific of late.

Now that the dust has settled a bit after the departure of PLF, it seems like a probable reason why he isn't anxious to sign. Or maybe he's waiting to see if there's some hope for the future, or if it's just gonna be more of the same cycle of fail as before?

Well, it doesn't matter with Enroth because no one will ever put him in consideration as an 'elite top-tier goalie'. Someone like Miller we use a higher standard to judge him against. But even so, Enroth managed a shut out last year when he'd only played 12 games. Well hell though, John Scott has scored more goals this year than even a star player like Ville Leino himself, so you never know.

That was a crappy lazy power play. Those guys were floating around back in their own zone. All they needed to do was play another 2 minutes for a shutout but they sat on their heels

That's just what I was thinking. A real tough guy like Lucic... he takes out goalies. A real ( insert choice expletive) like Stewart.... he ends up taken out by the goalie.

He sucked the other night ... and chokedthe big time on that shot. and now he got taken out by the freakin goalie. What a slug!

Leino got knocked down like a kewpie dolll again. LOL

Oh and if Leino is one of the three is it 3 on 2 or 2 on 2?

Yeah. I don't think Nolan would be cool with "The Tank" especially if it lasts more than this year. Right now the lineup is downright awful. Only a handful of people on ice who can score a goal. If that stays that way for 2 years, no coach who wants to win would stay. Couldn't blame him - would be a shame though.

I wonder if the driving force behind Ted Nolan's hesitancy to sign - is wait and see how GMTM's first draft goes? Right now, other than a paycheck, what coach who wants to win, would want to coach the gutted line up that's on the ice?

Would that be demoralizing for a guy like Ennis to be saddled with Leino on his line? The chances of scoring go down appreciably when he's on the line. Almost like giving the other team a PP.

I have been wondering about why Leino has gotten so much ice time? What does Ted Nolan see in him that no one else does? It's honestly made me start questioning if Nolan is the right guy to coach this team. Or is Upper Management telling Nolan he has to play him because he cost so much? I doubt the latter - Nolan doesn't strike me as a guy who would let a suit push him around.

I knew nothing of him. But in reading about him, this was the start of his first full season in the NHL - 4 goals in 58 games and a bunch of healthy-scratches too. Is there a reason we need a new, less-productive Gerbe? EDIT - the kid does have some potential - he scored 3 goals for Ottawa last year in the playoffs. Maybe Nolan can work his magic with him? Salary is cheap enough - why not?

Well, the only hope is the future - the team will be really brutal to watch the rest of the season.... Leino, Stewart, Scott....there isn't much talent on the bench now. This last week should put a stop to the Sabres' late season surge.

Well, we can't be too disappointed - the Miller/Ott trade was one of the biggest stories of this trade cycle.

Hmmmm, I must have missed it due to the craptastic "streaming". At any rate, whomever should have followed up - "We know he resigned - the question specifically is - was he ASKED to resign? If so, by whom?"
